Oceansize Self Preserved While The Bodies Float Up
Oceansize has perfected the art of reinventing themselves in subtle ways. Each album has it's own unique signature, and 'Self Preserved' is no exception. While it may take more than a single listen to grow on certain listeners, it certainly has at least a few tracks that are instant classics. After my third listen, I was convinced that this album is just as amazing as their previous work, if not more so
Oceansize Frames
The third full-length album from Oceansize. "Frames", upon my very first listen, completely changed the way that I listen to and appreciate music today. It's absolutely life-altering and beautifully haunting. These songs will not let me go...it's the best album I've ever heard.

Porcupine Tree Deadwing
Porcupine Tree Fear of a Blank Planet
In my opinion, the one Porcupine Tree album that is totally solid throughout the entire disc. Each song flows into the next with seamless precision, and each provides enough unique identity to stand on it's own while maintaining a sense of purpose and bringing a well balanced pace to the album. Steven Wilsons' vocals on this album, for some reason, stand out above other Porcupine Tree releases. The vocal is simply more catchy and well written than, say, In Absentia...which is an amazing album as well, but carries the signature PT curse of at least one dead, pointless, or over drawn song that sticks out like a sore thumb. "Fear of a Blank Planet" is not a perfect album, but it's definitely a strong counterpart to 2005's "Deadwing", which I feel is still the bands' best release to date.
