This album gets better with every listen! The first time through i had a hard time grasping it, maybe i was expecting something a little different; but after numerous listens i can say that i really like this album. the guitar work is godly! as well as Mancino's drumming. Tim's screaming is way more diverse than any of AILD's previous albums, and is at many times insanely brutal. The only con to this album for me would be the singing, it sounds too overproduced and isn't all that catchy, definitely better in An Ocean Between Us. But overall this album is fuckin great, buy it!

This album gets old fast. I heard 3 of their songs and loved them instantly. So, like a dumbass, i quickly ordered the album online. It sucks. There is an ungodly amount of breakdowns, i mean the whole album is just fucking breakdowns! There are a couple good songs on the album, but everything sounds exactly the same. If you want this album, just torrent it, it's not worth 10 bucks.

1.5 very poor
All That Remains Overcome
This album really dissapointed me. After All That Remain's two previous releases I had high expectations for this album, they were both so good. Instead this album fails in every way imaginable. They completely regressed as a band. The insanely awesome riffs from The Fall of Ideals are few and far between on this album, and are replaced by very mediocre guitar work. The drumming is not nearly as creative or brutal either, just very ordinary. I loved Phil Labonte's screaming and singing in ATR's older albums, but for some reason he, for the most part, sucks in this album. I don't know what happened to ATR, but this album is a total letdown.
