| "Chris Cornell's Greatest Hits - Live Acoustic" is more or less what this is. His voice is great live, the only reason this is 3.5-4 range and not 4.5 is he does some weird stuff to some of the songs.r"Doesn't Remind Me" really shouldn't be sped up, it's much better @ the original tempo. "Black Hole Sun" is difficult to sing by yourself since it has 2 voices singing at the same time in the chorus, He tries to imitate this but only partially succeeds. "Fell On Black Days" is still pretty good but he avoids some of the high notes and sings the verses differently, which isn't good in this case. He also does the whole "fast, loud strum of the same chord" to end almost every song, which gets old. If it's a softer, more emotional song no one wants you to end the song that way. It's kind of a parlor trick to get the crowd to applaud more than they might have otherwise. |

This isn't quite a 5 for me (even though I fanboy for DT probably more than anyone on this
site). But it's still amazeballs. Doesn't officially come out for another 2 weeks - no
review page to discuss it in :-s
As some people have mentioned, it combines successful elements of several of his previous
albums. This should really bring together the people who liked Addicted/his other softer
stuff but not Decon/SYL and vice versa. |

It's good but the soundoffs so far are overrating it a bit. First 2 songs are pretty average, even
for me a TDH fan.
