Turns out it's awesome. While one can't help but think that maybe he's taken his praise of being the new Bob Dylan a little far, one can also excuse this because it really works. Using musical styles from Americana folk to 12 bar blues, the album comes of like a southbound train rumbling through the Midwest. On top of that, it's really a full band effort. A number of songs are penned and sung by the other band members, they're even stand-out tracks (i.e. Air Mattress, Difference is Time). When all is said and done, it's an enjoyable and interesting listen with staying power. It's one of those albums that just grows on you.
