Refused Everlasting |
Stylistically similar to This Just Might Be The Truth (a world away from most of The Shape Of Punk To Come), Everlasting is more mature then Refused's debut full length. A nice transition from their early hardcore to the more varied sound on Songs To Fan The Flames Of Discontent, and a very good 90s hardcore EP. |
The Day Everything Became Nothing Brutal |
Slightly muddy, catchy riff driven metal, with vocals so low you can really only hear the sibilance. Think Blood Duster (Tony is the singer for TDEBN) without much of the grindcore, or Meshuggah playing ZZ Top. Not nearly as brutal as the title or the logo suggests, but very enjoyable, at least to me.
The album before this one, "Invention:destruction", is better in my opinion. Check it out if you couldn't quite deal with Brutal. |
