A change for the better while maintaining those ridiculous roots.

The Contortionist Apparition
The perfect mix of ambient music, technique, technicality, vocals and brutality I have had the honor to sit through all year. One to listen to over and over, touching base with all emotions.

Genghis Tron Board Up the House
Grayskul Bloody Radio
Very nice mix of smooth beats, slightly aggressive attitude complimented by a complete understanding of who they are as people/musicians and what they are here to do. Good job.
Grieves 88 Keys & Counting
Immortal Technique Revolutionary Volume 2
Immortal Technique The 3rd World
Misery Signals Of Malice and the Magnum Heart

Was waiting for this shit to come and can't be happier. Incredible release from incredible musicians.
Russian Circles Geneva
SikTh Death of a Dead Day
The Acacia Strain Wormwood
In terms of the comments about a single guitarist...they've been that way since the dead walk. The other ones (that's right, they had three) had issues with them, not to mention probably would've held them back a bit more. "DL" just double and triple tracks dual melodies and such a lot...which is a little frustrating due to the fact it's never at a live show.
The Dillinger Escape Plan Calculating Infinity
The Dillinger Escape Plan Miss Machine
The Dillinger Escape Plan Ire Works
TTNG Animals
Wrench In The Works Decrease/Increase
This is what CT needed. Not only is it an incredible and raw listen, but also a huge step for "church-core" and a must-listen to album. The musicianship is unreal and sounds in every way better than the first release.

3.5 great

Their sound is unique. You can't deny them that. It's cool to watch this band evolve from the incredibly experimental hardcore/metalcore being they were to some type of unheard surf, indie/hardcore type shit.

The Acacia Strain ...And Life Is Very Long

2.0 poor
I am the Ocean Escapist Fiction
While not completely losing their originality, they have lost a lot with this new vocalist who tries to hard to fit in all the while pushing away. I was incredibly excited to hear this album and totally disappointed once there. It has it's parts and Fear Before's guitarist does add a bit more solidity but other than that, a personal let-down.

1.5 very poor
