King Live at the RegalBand of Horses Cease to BeginBob Dylan Blood on the TracksI give the New York Sessions version full marks. I have not heard the full album in its standard shape, but the simple guitar/bass/organ/harmonica versions of You're A Big Girl Now and Idiot Wind are timeless. I wish he had left the tracks that way for the main release.Bob Dylan The Freewheelin' Bob DylanBob Marley and The Wailers LegendBright Eyes I'm Wide Awake, It's MorningCat Stevens Tea for the TillermanEddie Vedder Into the WildElton John Tumbleweed ConnectionEminem The Marshall Mathers LPEminem The Slim Shady LPFleet Foxes Fleet FoxesGuns N' Roses Appetite for DestructionJeff Buckley GraceJoanna Newsom YsOne of the greatest albums of all time as far as I am concerned. Totally unique, musically faultless and lyrically mind-blowing. She makes most music seem bland.Johnny Cash At Folsom PrisonJohnny Flynn A LarumA timeless collection of songs. Johnny sticks resolutely to his roots on this great debut album. The songs are beautiful arranged and very earthy, as you would hope from a folk album, and the album is wonderfully english too. His roots as a Shakespearian actor are clear in his clever wordplay, and often obscure word choices. The key element to the albums greatness is in the perfect melodies.Jose Gonzalez VeneerKings of Leon Youth and Young ManhoodNeil Young After the Gold RushNick Drake Pink MoonNick Drake Bryter LayterNick Drake Five Leaves LeftPearl Jam Vs.Pearl Jam TenRadiohead OK ComputerRage Against the Machine Rage Against the MachineSigur Ros Heima (DVD)Stevie Ray Vaughan Live at the El Mocambo (Live Video)The Allman Brothers Band At Fillmore East (Deluxe Edition)4.5 superbAerosmith Get Your WingsBeach House Teen DreamBurial UntrueFleet Foxes Sun GiantGrizzly Bear VeckatimestJoanna Newsom Have One on MeKings of Leon Because Of The TimesMGMT Oracular SpectacularNeil Young HarvestNick Drake Made To Love MagicPearl Jam VitalogyPeter Broderick HomeRadiohead In RainbowsRadiohead Kid ARadiohead The BendsRay LaMontagne TroubleRegina Spektor Begin To HopeRyan Adams HeartbreakerScott Matthews Passing StrangerSigur Ros Med Sud i Eyrum vid Spilum EndalaustSigur Ros Takk...Temple of the Dog Temple of the DogThe Tallest Man on Earth Shallow Grave4.0 excellentAerosmith AerosmithAmy Winehouse FrankAndrew Bird Armchair ApocryphaBright Eyes CassadagaConor Oberst Conor OberstDepartment of Eagles In Ear ParkDevendra Banhart Cripple CrowDjango Reinhardt The Best of Django ReinhardtElton John Madman Across the WaterGuillemots Through the WindowpaneIron And Wine The Shepherd's DogJoanna Newsom The Milk-Eyed MenderKings of Leon Aha Shake HeartbreakMy Morning Jacket ZNick Drake Family TreeRage Against the Machine The Battle of Los AngelesRegina Spektor FarThe Felice Brothers Yonder Is The ClockThe Felice Brothers The Felice BrothersThe Killers Day & AgeThe Low Anthem Oh My God, Charlie DarwinVan Morrison Astral Weeks3.5 greatBon Iver For Emma, Forever AgoChris Cornell Euphoria MorningDevendra Banhart Nino RojoDevendra Banhart Smokey Rolls Down Thunder CanyonDevendra Banhart Rejoicing in the HandsElton John Honky ChateauEminem The Eminem ShowGuns N' Roses Live Era '87-'93Guns N' Roses The Spaghetti Incident?Iron And Wine Around the WellLisa Hannigan Sea SewMastodon Crack the SkyeMuse Black Holes & RevelationsMuse ShowbizPearl Jam Pearl JamPearl Jam No CodePearl Jam BackspacerRage Against the Machine Evil EmpireRay LaMontagne Till the Sun Turns BlackRay LaMontagne Gossip In The GrainThe Killers Sam's TownThe Shins Oh, Inverted World3.0 goodArcade Fire Neon BibleBright Eyes Fevers & MirrorsDamien Rice OThere are great songs here. Usually the ones with the most Lisa Hannigan though. She is just an angel. Her voice is heartbreakingly lovely. Highlights for me are The Blowers Daughter, Cold Water, I Remember and Eskimo. However I find it hard to get past the relatively poor guitar playing (many songs are basically the same chord sequences for one) and also the lyrics. Whilst honesty is respectable, sometimes it feels very 'sixth form poetry' (high school for you 'mericans) and a whole album of heartbreak is tedious. So three stars for the above, exceptional songs. Really lets this album down. I'd rather just watch Live At The El Mocambo if feel like some SRV. In any case you need to SEE him play not just hear him.
