My friend who listen's to alot of Prog. gave me this cd out of the blue saying it was "one of his favorite 5 cd's". I didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. It's not my favorite kind of music but I enjoyed it very much.

This is the first vanderslice album I listened to and was very impressed. His voice is calming and the instrumentation blends very well. I think I should check out alot of his earlier works. Check out "Sunken UnionBoat".
Kanye West VH1 Storytellers: Kanye West
Good album. Same songs but most of what he shares on the album tells you alot about why he wrote them. I really loved the band behind him because it gave the songs a harsher feel than on 808's & Heartbreak.

The Antlers Hospice
When I heard "Two", I thought that when I heard the album it would be great but when I did I was not as impressed. The Antlers have overall good songs like "Bear" but none of the others seemed to reach the same level. If The Antlers took a break and worked on some music I really feel like they could make an amazing album.

This album had some good songs but half of it basically sounded the same. I'm not a big country fan, but I do like Wilco because they put a great alternative spin on the genre. Check out "I Must Be High".

Owl City Ocean Eyes
I don't why this guy is so popular. It's not catchy and isn't anywhere close to being unique since it is a failed attept at copying the Postal Service. "Fireflies", the "hit" off the album, basically sounds the same as the beginning of "Such Great Hieghts" (which is one of my favorite songs) by the Postal Service. Owl City a.k.a. Adam Young should just stay in his room with his little toy robots which freak out in the "Fireflies" video when they hear the song cause they can't take it anymore.
