Such beautifully crafted instrumental work overall and Kyo's voice truly shines for the first time since their earlier days. This is going to be big.Dir En Grey ArcheAfter a little over 3 years since Dum Spiro Spero, I can finally say they have outdone their self. I rated DSS a little higher than I should have but looking back at it now, it's nothing memorable. This is. This album has everything you'd want to please fans of both spectrums - whether their older or new. It is very obvious with their last tour and re-recordings that they were digging into their older material for inspiration and this album shows that. I think every fan will enjoy this. The title track 'Unraveling' is without a doubt a leftover song from their 'Dum Spiro Spero' sessions is a good track to start off with in what is to come on this EP. The band really went all out in digging some gems in their discography. Songs like 'Karasu', 'Bottom of the death valley' and even ' Macabre' make appearances here all re-worked in their current 'Uroboros/DSS' style. I'm enjoying this release so far despite feeling their 5-year progressive style is a bit tiring. I'm just glad to see they haven't forgotten they have a huge back catalog and to see them bring their older tracks in tune again is something to treasure.Enter Shikari Take to the SkiesEnvy All the Footprints You've Ever Left and the Fear Expecting AheadEnvy AbyssalFACT In the Blink of an Eye"In the blink of an eye" was a great new attempt at keeping with their self-titled sound. Granted everyone is missing their "Fever" sound but this new sound fits them so well. Taking notes from their "Vices" album and leaving behind everything else, they have created a truly new sound that works well. I'm only on my first listen with the album but I am certain this is going to be my driving-to-work album for the majority of the fall.Paramore Riot!Paramore All We Know Is FallingPurity Ring Another EternitySenses Fail Still SearchingSenses Fail Life Is Not a Waiting RoomSky Eats Airplane Everything Perfect on the Wrong DaySky Eats Airplane Sky Eats AirplaneTaking Back Sunday Tell All Your FriendsTaking Back Sunday Where You Want To BeTextures PolarsTextures Drawing CirclesTextures SilhouettesThe Blood Brothers March On Electric ChildrenThe Blood Brothers This Adultery Is RipeThe Faint Wet From BirthThe Faint Fasciinatiionthe GazettE Disorderthe GazettE Stacked Rubbishthe GazettE DivisionThe Mad Capsule Markets Osc-Dis (Oscillator In Distortion)The Mad Capsule Markets digidogheadlockThe Neighbourhood Wiped Out!Thrice The Artist in the AmbulanceTokyo Jihen KyoikuTokyo Jihen VarietyTwenty One Pilots VesselZomboy The Dead SymphonicZomboy Reanimated3.0 goodAnamanaguchi Dawn MetropolisArsonists Get All the Girls PortalsAtreyu VisionsAtreyu Suicide Notes and Butterfly KissesBetween the Buried and Me Between the Buried and MeBetween the Buried and Me The Silent Circusblink-182 Cheshire Catblink-182 Dude RanchBreathe Carolina It's Classy Not ClassicBring Me The Horizon Count Your BlessingsBritney Spears Femme FataleBritney Spears CircusCapsule (JPN) CAPS LOCKCapsule (JPN) World of FantasyChiodos All's Well That Ends WellChunk! Despite the singles 'Work Bitch' and 'Perfume', there's not a lot of stand out tracks that save the album. The production is top-notch and her voice is as great as ever but that's really it. No good top-radio singles like 'Hold It Against Me' and 'Til The World Ends'. I do recommend 'Tik Tik Boom' and 'Passenger' which could easily become singles.Britney Spears BlackoutCapsule (JPN) Stereo WorxxxChiodos DevilChunk! No, Captain Chunk! I thought this girl had a bright future. Never did I expect her "electro folk-esque" to disappear and would just go full on pop. I gave Halycon a chance but absolutely despised it. Now, with this album, i'd much rather listen to her previous attempt. She has slowly lost it. This album isn't even remotely enjoyable in any way. I give her props for 'Love Me Like You Do', the only single i've enjoyed from her since 'Anything Could Happen'.
