At the Gates Slaughter of the Soul
Atheist Unquestionable Presence
I love this album. Progressive influences with a heavy helping of death metal. Who could ask for more?

Pure musical fluidity. Mind blowing all the way through. A beautiful work of art.
Death Symbolic
Death Human
Decapitated Nihility
Exhorder Slaughter in the Vatican
FUCKING THRASH. For me this album embodies what thrash is supposed to be. While not as technically impressive as some of its contemporary albums, Slaughter In The Vatican captures the pissed off attitude that defines thrash as a genre.
King Crimson In the Court of the Crimson King
Pink Floyd Animals
Wu-Tang Clan Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)
Easily my favorite rap album of all time. Wu tang clan ain't nothing to fuck with.

Great album from a very promissing new band. So mind-blowingly technical that the few melodic parts of the album are refreshing. Blues outros are interesting and fresh. I look forward to their next release.

Very little originality, but great song writing, flow, and technical skill. Add more dynamics to the vocals along with a pinch of originality to the song structure and this would be a superb album. WTR just barely missed the mark on this one...
Wretched (USA-NC) The Exodus of Autonomy

3.5 great
311 Music
After the Burial Rareform
Animosity Animal

Shadows Fall The War Within
Steve Vai Alien Love Secrets
The Dillinger Escape Plan Ire Works
Those Who Lie Beneath An Awakening
Trivium Ember to Inferno
Veil of Maya The Common Man's Collapse
This album pissed me of more than any other I've listened to. As illustrated in songs such as "It's Not Safe to Swim Today" and "We Bow In Its Aura", Veil provides 1:30 to 2 minutes of absolutely incredible material then transitions to mindless, palm muted, junk for the rest of the song. This band needs to focus on quality song writing and leave breakdowns behind.

All That Remains The Fall of Ideals
Born of Osiris A Higher Place
Carnifex The Diseased and Poisoned
Converge Unloved and Weeded Out
Exhorder The Law
Lame follow up to a classic album. I have to admit i was very disappointed with this....
Here Comes the Kraken Here Comes the Kraken
Knights Of The Abyss Shades
If every song was as great as "penalty of the tyrant" this would be rated alot higher. 2/3 of this album is filler.
The Devil Wears Prada With Roots Above and Branches Below
This is the most bland, sameish, metalcore release I've heard since Destroy The Runner's Saints. The definition of average.
Thy Art Is Murder The Adversary
lame follow up to imho the most brutal sounds ever produced

Killswitch Engage Alive or Just Breathing
King Crimson Beat
Metallica Metallica
Mudvayne The Beginning of All Things to End
Shadows Fall Threads of Life
Soulfly Primitive
Suicide Silence The Cleansing
I went to give this album a two but my freakin finger slipped. This album for sure is not worthy of being called 'good'. Most tracks are fairly simple and the drummer is the only player that stands out as skilled at his instrument.
Mediocre Deathcore at best, bland sameness at worst.
The Devil Wears Prada Dear Love: A Beautiful Discord
The Devil Wears Prada Plagues
The Mars Volta Octahedron
Trivium Shogun
Whitechapel This Is Exile
Winds of Plague The Great Stone War
This album was fucking gay. I don't know how else to describe it. I liked Decimate The Weak a lot but this album is just bad.
