This album is just as good, if not on par with Jokes.
It's simply more poppy/catchy, so it has less slowish boring parts, but that's not a flaw.
EDIT:
And why is Douche Hanson rating it a 1?

An intricate and more evolved progression for the band. Everything has improved, from the vocals that no longer use any type of studio enhancement whatsoever, to the varied instrumentation, to the much increased technicality, any fan of music should love this new As Cities Burn-esque evolution.
Though fans of Birth.Eater should not expect them to be metalcore-influenced at all, there are no harsh vocals at all on this album, and the droning vocals could be considered a tad repetititive, which are the two resounding flaws throughout the EP keeping it from being perfect.
The flaws are majorly overshadowed by the astounding improvements the band have made though. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone. |

Heaven in Her Arms?
Moar like Envy in Her Arms, amirite?
But yeah, this is hardly an emo release. Basically just adding some classic emo chord progressions and screaming to a normal Post-Metal Record. Ripping off Envy, too. |

| While some high quality tracks keep this a somewhat enjoyable album, about half are unmemorable and simply blend together. Does not live up to the highly charming Highways of Gold or Johnny Whitney's Neon Blonde. |
| Jamie's Elsewhere They Said a Storm Was Coming |
Actually a lot more entertaining than I hoped.
When I heard Synths, I assumed they would try to be the new Attack Attack! But the clean and screamed vocals are good. |

Huge regression for the band, while increasing in studio quality and screamed vocals, they lose all of the originality and slight progression they gave to the scenecore genre with their debut.
Now they attempt to sound like a new popular band in the scene with every other song, be it from The Devil Wears Prada to Bring Me The Horizon to Hawethorne Heights with hooks we've all heard before and dissonant riffs with no originality, then some droning breakdowns.
Though they do stay a bit ahead of the game in terms of catchiness and progression just enough to be better than average and slightly better then their totally generic peers in the scene.
