K-os is one of my favourite hip-hop artists. It's not gangsta rap, its not some crap about self-love, money or the number of "hoes" he has. Whilst not his best album, it still deserves credit. Go listen to "I Wish I Knew Natalie Portman". You won't regret it.

Plan B The Defamation Of Strickland Banks
This album is a re-invention of his old music style, shifting towards a soulful blues style, complete with a full backing orchestra. It's a concept album revolving around the main character Strickland Banks who gets sent to prison wrongfully. Seriously worth checking out....he seems to be getting very big here at the UK mainstream, and unusually for most artists, he actually deserves it. This man has soul. Check out Prayin', or I Know a Song, and you'll know what I'm talking about.
