Tattle Tale Sew True
To some Jen Wood's and Madigan Shive's collaboration as Tattle Tale is a definitive example of the Riot Grrrl scene of
the 90's. Sew True, their last album together, allows that suggestion to be seen more vibrantly within their
captivating lyrics and song
structures that focus heavily upon their intertwined vocals. Through wails and whimpers, they express most in fewer
syllables than some are capable of producing with entire catalogues of sounds.
TEXT TEXT
A few remnants of Refused formed, with the assistance of another member, to a collaboration that expands upon Spoken Word (with a track that is held over 20 minutes) and various diverse genres through their eight tracks- each design with a specific "genre"/"sound".

Xiu Xiu Dear God, I Hate Myself
Unabashed for experimenting within the 'Pop genre', Xiu Xiu present Dear God, I Hate Myself as the epitome of
their last two entires though displayed as an exaggeration upon those albums most commercial components.
Regardless of whether this growth is taken negatively, Xiu Xiu have crafted their most engrossing work, both lyrically
and musically, throughout the album- progressing from their initial subdued spasms to the now rigid clamor of the
Nintendo DS.

Danger 09/14 2007
Danger 09/16 2007
Unlike the previous EP, 09/14 2007, this disc produces more of a stable "soundtrack" direction towards it; a designation that bares no negative connotation. The tracks uniquely compliment each other- even the two remix's of "88:88" (by EAT and 80kidz, respectfully) meld well with the previous three original tunes. With EP II (this release being labeled EP III) still in the works and the supposed LP drop relatively soon, Danger will inevitably be spoken on more as these projects become further known/understood.
David Bowie Hunky Dory
Former Ghosts Fleurs
An album dedicated to saying "farewell; goodbye" to a former lover.
Gallows (UK) Grey Britain
Gossip Standing In The Way Of Control
An album for the youth similar to me. This band, now signed to a GLBT friendly label (Music With A Twist), was
highly regarded within the community with its albums title track "Standing In The Way Of Control"; the track,
reportedly written for the GLBT community in the face of former President Bush's plans to sign a bill opposed to
Same-Sex Marriages. While the majority of the tracks are seemingly no way homosexually geared, the bands
adherence and accessibility within the GLBT community has allowed their current successes.
However, the interest of this album is heavily within the vocal delivery of Beth Ditto- which carries a profuse "soul"
expression, sound and feeling within the flails she admits. This is an spectacular album, perhaps, unintentionally
catered to a specific audience that is more than welcoming to others.

An interesting transition between Medulla and Volta- where snippets of both albums whisk and intermingle with each
other. Bjork here mostly interacts as the producer of each track though does include her vocals on a few
arrangements with guests affluent.

Often seen as the most versatile amongst the Doomtree collective, Dessa's debut album incorporates both the hip-
hop/spoken word aesthetics most are used to hearing from her while also introducing several more somber tracks
that are instead sung against the same artistic approach.

This album actually carries some of the best "pop" music from the past few years- "I hate This Part", and "When I grow Up" especially. Arguably, it surpasses Britney Spears latest effort (Circus) despite the 16 tracks being a little intimidating to actually endure in a full sitting.

Energy Invasions Of The Mind
While some tracks may be seen as notable, the production of the disc horrendously renders it barely worthy of a listen- coming off rather "too clean", the over produced vocals and tones of the instruments damage what may had been a slightly more enthralling experience.
