David Bowie Let's Dance |
Bowie's best.
Let's Dance is my favorite DB song forever. And this album just adds more to its greatness. Obviously Let's Dance is the best song on the album, but thankfully because its so short, theirs no BAD song on the album.
usually i hate short albums. Buts this is one great exception |

No Doubt Push and Shove |
The album, though released 11 years later, picks up the bands style right where Rocksteady left off, the pop stylings are again taking center stage and the ska influences just showing up here and there throughout. Instantly turning many away from this, I can assure this is no "Hollaback Girl" situation. rThe album is well written, all the songs are well thought out, but maybe perhaps too safe. The most "wild moments" of the album all happen in the first four tracks, making it a very frontloaded album making the backhalf really mesh together. This is unfortunate because the band does sound great for what is presented, all the instrumentation is very well done, and Gwen sounds as good as she did 11 years ago. rChances are if you are even the mildest No Doubt fan you will find something appealing here, though the actually experience of listening to the album from start to finish will not be anything to write home about. |

Underoath The Changing of Times |
Pros: About half the songs are amazing and downright beautiful.
The keyboard playing adds amazing effects to the songs.
The screaming is bearable for me, a non-screamo fan.
Cons: Some songs are pretty depressing. Too short. The "singing" is more like talking. (except not in When the Sun Sleeps)
Best Songs:
When the Sun Sleeps
Never Ment to Break Your Heart
The Changing of Times
Alone in December [its pretty depressing, but the beauty makes it up]
