Coheed and Cambria The Second Stage Turbine Blade
Coheed and Cambria's debut album, Second Stage Turbine Blade, is a good alternative rock album with a bit of punk root underneath. The album starts off with the slow, yet well defined, Time Consumer and kicks the album off with the more upbeat Devil in Jersey City. The album has a whole has some good upbeat song sand some more deeper slower songs. Claudio Sanchez plays guitar and sings, along with rhythm guitarist Travis Stever, Micheal Todd on bass, and Josh Eppard on drums. I dont want say Claudio has too high pitched voice but his voice isn't deep when he doesn't do any screaming. In some songs the vocals are like a lullaby accompany the melodic guitar, chill bass and tight drums. There are some good solos in the more upbeat and happier tracks. The album as a whole is very good and to me there is never a dull moment. The album should be a good listen for anyone that likes alternative rock, or rock with a bit of punk-ish sound. This album is probably the less progressive rock out of the whole Coheed saga, but none the less it is a good album
