They don't wanna play the cheesy punk/metal/hardcore bullshit they played during Kezia. Don't get me wrong Kezia was a great CD. This album may not be hard enough for some of you metal heads out there but the epicness of all the songs is awesome. Not only do the put out good music on the CD but they can play it onstate. Saw them at Sonar and they played Sequoia Throne flawlessly. 2.5 averageDance Gavin Dance Dance Gavin DanceThis album lacks what Dance Gavin Dance was before. Kurt singing makes him sound whiney. The screamer needs to learn how to exhale scream. The guitarist is still extremely skilled and leaves you reminiscing of Down Town Battle Mountain. People You Know should be taken off the album and never performed cause it is just a mess. The screaming is terrible the lyrics are awful and the point of the song is the same as every other song on the album. As stated in the CD "Give me something to sing the the listeners of this CD" I don't want the music you put out on this album and I won't be attending a show where you are playing because you have all sold yourselves to short. The base for a good album is there you just need to fine tune your skills and write something that appeals to the old DGD fans. This album really upset me.
