Wolfmother's influences are clear, but the song are greater than the sum of their parts. Other bands have been good but have never fully satisfied me as completely as this one. I find Led Zep too dull, Black Sabbath too messy and ill-advised, Muse too unorganic sounding (I know i sound petty now) and The White Stripes haven't written enough good songs, and in the space of a single album, Wolfmother has put them back in their places. My particular favourites are "Colossal" and the depressingly underrecognised Classic "Love Train". I'm sad to hear about The other two leaving Andrew Stockdale on his own halfway through the recording of a second album but apparently a new bassist and drummer are soon to be announced.4.5 superbMuse Black Holes & Revelations4.0 excellentFlight of the Conchords Flight of the ConchordsFoo Fighters Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace
