5.0 classic
Comeback Kid Wake the Dead
This is CBK's best release, and unfotunately Scott Wade's last release as CBK's frontman. Andrew has simply filled the void left by Scott, but i think it's a downgrade, you can hear the difference in styles between Wake the Dead and Broadcasting.
Wake the Dead has some amazing hardcore songs like the title track, False Idols Fall, Partners in Crime and Our Distance. CBK blends the intensity of hardcore with gang vocals flawlessly, leaving the listener with track after track of passionate anthems that have meaning. I feel like when i sing along with CBK that i truley mean some of the phrases i'm singing, i feel unity with the band, and at shows i feel unity with other fans.

Good Riddance Operation Phoenix
This is by far my favorite Good Riddance album. When these guys came out their stuff just kept getting better with Ballads from the Revolution, catchy fast-paced punk rock, with a serious message. Unfortunately Operation Phoenix was the last record they made that had a real edge. Records after this release were boring with a lot of filler songs whereas Operation Phoenix is an awesome listen all the way through.

I feel like the music on this album is much heavier than their previous release, Pressure the Hinges, and is more in tune with their original style. The chorus hooks just aren't as accesible and catchy as Hinges, which is unfortunate. I feel like i'm looking for tracks to like on this release, its much harder and sinister sounding, but its just not catchy, i can't find tracks to sing along with like i could on Hinges.

Another disappointment from underOATH, they've apparently turned their backs on what got them to the place they are now. Chasing Safety was full of catchy melodic, passionate songs, ones that you could sing along with. Define the Line had a few good tracks, but was mostly full of experimentation and noise.
Now Seperation is in the same vein as Define the Line, way too busy, bland vocals, you're left looking for tracks to cling to. Underoaths should realize that sometimes "less is more" or "keep it simple, stupid". these tracks are basically showing off different ideas and not focusing on writing good solid songs.
unfortunately underoath followers are like AFI followers, they will not be swayed by anything and out supporting this album like its gold or something.

I really liked the EP, Punch the Clock, and i was anticipating this release for awhile. After i listened to it though it was overdone, way too polished for punk rock, especially coming out of Boston. The gang vocals sound like the producer just hit the "chorus" button, they're way too precise and clean sounding. These guys are really good live, and they waiting quite awhile to finally record a full-length and unfortunately this won't help their case.
Good Riddance My Republic
Good Riddance Symptoms of a Leveling Spirit
H2O Nothing To Prove
this album contradicts itself around every corner. It feels like H2O is trying to convince everyone that they are hardcore, that they don't judge people, that they're always judged wrong, that they don't like anyone because nobody is true/honest, and that they were here before everyone else. Really no notable songs unfortunately, i really expected more.
