5.0 classic
Gallows (UK) Orchestra Of Wolves
I don't give the 5 out of 5 score easily. I will give a 5 score when a band like Gallows can release their debut album and not give a fuck about what other people want. Most of these songs are filled with anger and are about their experiances as a band. I think it is great. The songs have a good tune, and their are not that many hardcore punk bands out there these days that can deliver such a strong album. Thumbs up to Gallows and hoping to hear more of them in the future.
Yellowcard Lights and Sounds

4.5 superb
Bring Me the Horizon Count Your Blessings
This is a superb debut album for deathcore band Bring Me The Horizon. The vocals are perfect for any deathcore fan and the guitar work is great. It's only downfall is the fact that this album goes too quickly, but other than that, an awesome standout! BMTH have changed their style for album number two, Suicide Season and I'm hoping have a listen soon.
Bring Me the Horizon Suicide Season
Bring Me The Horizon released a superb debut album, Count Your Blessings. The greatest deathcore album I know of. For their second release, Suicide Season, the kids have decided to try something different. Oli states that, "too many bands these days are deathcore and that it is all starting to sound the same."
What you have here is a hardcore kick-em-in-the-face album which has little moments of deathcore and metalcore. Instead of his deep screaming for the death core debut, Oli is now mainly yelling with some high shrieks and low deep growls.
Lead single, The Comedown, is a way to open the album (it is one of the heavier ones). Chelsea Smile follows, which is another great track as it starts straight away which gives listeners the chance to hear BMTH's new change.
I guess it is up to you to decide of which style you like more but as for me...I love them both! We can expect great things from Bring Me The Horizon in the future.
Nirvana Nirvana
15 of the greatest tracks from the band that defined a generation.
Parkway Drive Killing with a Smile
Parkway Drive are one of not many metalcore bands that actually sound better as the years go on. I know they have only released three albums but each one gets better after the other. Don't Close Your Eyes was an excellent EP and Killing With A Smile is a superb debut album for all metalcore fans out there.
People call Parkway Drive emo and you me wonder why as they are a metalcore band. This is because of the lyrics. The lyrics of Killing With A Smile make this album seem very emo. Horizons, their third release but second album is their best. They have changed the way they write their lyrics which seems a lot less "emo"
This is still a great debut and is definitly worth checking out.
Parkway Drive Horizons
The Darkness One Way Ticket To Hell And Back
The Darkness are great. This album is great. It contains great glam rock anthems and puts a smile on your face. Unlike the first album (which is still good) this album has a less serious feel to it and I just have fun listening to it. Too bad they broke up...shame really...
The Used In Love and Death
Underoath They're Only Chasing Safety
underOATH would probably have to be the best metalcore band out there. With Parkway Drive running close. This is the breakthrough album which scored them their success, with the new screamer. This album is more of a catchy screamo album, the only one that i couldn't call metalcore. Aaron Gillespie's vocals are the main highlight bacause that kid can sing pretty damn good. With a strong opener as Young And Aspiring to the catchiest song on the record, Reinventing Your Exit, and the quiet yet amazing anthem, Some Will Seek Forgiveness, Others Escape, this album will definitely not disappoint.
Underoath Define the Great Line
This is one of the better underOATH albums, although a bit more singing from Aaron Gillespie would have been better. Don't get me wrong, this is still a heaps good album. It has a much darker approach compared to TOCS. I cannot compare which of the two I like better because they are both great.
I am looking forward to hearing Lost In The Sound Of Separation soon. :P
Underoath Lost in the Sound of Separation
I love underOATH. It is as simple as that! They always impress me with their shit. This is their best album. It starts off with Breathing In A New Mentality which isn't the strongest track but it shreds its fair bit. Anyone Can Dig A Hole and A Fault Line are fucking mint. Really good songs as they are as heavy as expected yet melodic in a great way. Emergency Broadcast is a bit boring but this is forgiven after the powerful The Only Survivor and We Are The Involuntary. The Created Void is my personal fave. Just the way this melodic song is structured sends shivers down my spine. Coming Down Is Calming Down is a good brutal song followed by the commercial, Desperate Times, Desperate Measures, which is still good.Too Bright To See, Too Loud To Hear is the new, Some Will Seek Forgiveness, Others Escape, yet different.
A superb fucking album!

4.0 excellent
Bring Me the Horizon This Is What the Edge of Your Seat Was Made For
Bullet for My Valentine The Poison
BFMV?s debut is a well-written metalcore album. The first song, Her Voice Resides, is a good way to open a metalcore release. The album has its fair share of songs that scream and songs that don?t scream. This is probably to even it out. All These Things I Hate is a great song, with the acoustic at the start and then it gets into it with enthusiasm. This is a major improvement from their self-titled EP. Its downfall would be the fact that some songs seem to go for too long, such as Tears Don?t Fall. The standout tracks are: 4 Words (To Choke Upon), Suffocating Under Words Of Sorrow (What Can I Do) and All These Things I Hate (Revolve Around Me). All in all this is a great debut for the metalcore genre.
Cut Copy In Ghost Colours
I will not keep it secret that I have seen Cut Copy live. They are an awesome band to see live, trust me. I bought their newest album before I saw them so that I would be up to date with the songs that they would play live (pretty much their whole second album). The first song on this album is my favourite. Feel The Lve, a deadset classic song. Out There On The Ice follows and is great too. This song leads up to their biggest hit, Lights And Music. Unforgettable Season was great to see live. It’s an awesome song as well. The rest of the songs are pretty much all good, so there’s no need to go through them all. The standout tracks are: Feel The Love, Unforgettable Season, So Haunted and Strangers In The Mind. We can expect great things from Cut Copy in the future.
Escape the Fate Dying Is Your Latest Fashion
Escape The Fate are quite talented. They have released a great debut and things are looking good. That is until their lead singer was sentenced to jail for four years. Now with a new singer they are about to release their second album This War Is Ours. But why do I have a feeling it won't deliver like the first one did.
For fans of: The Used, underOATH (they're only chasing safety style), Atreyu and From First To Last.
The strongest tracks are: The Webs We Weave, My Apocalypse and Not Good Enough For Truth In Cliche
Hawthorne Heights The Silence in Black and White
So many people want to pay out Hawthorne Heights just because they are, well "emo"
When I'm willing to bet that half the people that do bag them, probably haven't even properly listened to them.
This is their first album and it is their best. With the silence at the start of songs then the impact hitting hard with Casey's screams, it delivers good.
It's just a shame that the other two albums couldn't live up to this one...
My Chemical Romance The Black Parade
I was surprised when I saw the Blunt magazine review for The Black Parade. I have always trusted Blunt with their scores and nearly always agree with them in the end but not this time. Due to the fact that they only gave the album 6 out of 10 score which I believe to be not that good. The record deserves a higher score than this. I mean, at least an 8 would satisfy.
There aren?t any bad songs on The Black Parade and it is quite enjoyable. The meaning, to this album, is the journey of death. Welcome To The Black Parade being the strongest track on the CD. This album has made an impact on everyone, whether you love them or you hate them
Norma Jean The Anti Mother
This album is also known as Norma Jean vs. The Anti Mother. I haven?t heard much of Norma Jean?s other music so I cannot compare it to previous albums. Although, what I can compare it to is of what I expect from a band like them. I recently listened to this CD and I was not disappointed. It is quite a good album. I?ve come to the conclusion that parts of it are metalcore whilst the rest is post-hardcore. Norma Jean are the next popular Christian metal band and they are good at what they do. They cant surpass underOATH (I don?t think any Christian metal band can) but that doesn?t matter as this is still an excellent release.
Panic! at the Disco Pretty. Odd.
Panic At The Disco have taken the ! out of Panic. And for the better! What I'm saying is that this year's Pretty.Odd. is a much greater release than A Fever You Can't Sweat Out. The reason is simply because they were not afraid to try something new. I think that some bands should be inspired by Panic and not care about their radio play and charts. They shouldn't be pussy to try something different. The true fans are the ones that will stay with them all the way.
Pretty. Odd. has a very familiar sound. That sound is the Beatles. They have stopped the Fall Out Boy-like dance emo rock for teenage girls, and have changed to what is quite a good sound.
The strong tracks are Mad As Rabbits, Do You Know What I'm Seeing and Northern Downpour.
Thumbs up to Panic for this release. xD
Trivium The Crusade
Metalcore can sound a little dated sometimes, you know what I mean. This is why if Trivium released their third album to be another metalcore release, just like their previous two, it probably wouldn?t have gotten as high as a score it got. This is not metalcore. This is pure thrash metal. It was time for a change and Trivium accepted that fact and good for them. This was exactly what they needed. Now let?s just wait to see if their new album, Shogun (which is apparently a mixture of metalcore album Ascendancy and thrash metal album The Crusade) can deliver as good as The Crusade has.
Underoath Cries of the Past
It feels weird listening to this album due to the fact that Underoath sound nothing at all like this now. It is like listening to a different band. One of Underoath's earlier releases and one of their best. This is purily deathcore. Not metalcore or screamo...deathcore. Every song goes over 5 minutes, the average songs going for about 7 minutes. This is probably why there is only 5 songs on the album.
It is worth checking this album out as it is very unique and it is interesting to hear what the boys of Undeoath used to sound like.

3.5 great
Bullet for My Valentine Scream Aim Fire

3.0 good
Marilyn Manson Portrait of an American Family
When I bought Marilyn Manson?s Lest We Forget album, I loved it. It was such a good greatest hits album, it had me singing along for ages. I think greatest hits albums are great as they show you how the band has changed during their albums. You get a feel of how all the albums have a different sound to each other. The songs on the greatest hits from his debut album, Portrait Of An American Family are, Lunchbox and Get Your Gunn. They are the ones on the Lest We Forget album. They are really good songs, so I thought this debut would be really good. Unfortunately I was disappointed with this album. There is nothing too wrong with it. It is just a bit boring. It?s still a good release but compared to the others, it is the worst MM album up to date. The standout tracks besides the two from Lest We Forget would have to be: Cake And Sodomy and Dope Hat.
Metro Station Metro Station
6604 shuld shut the eff up. By saying, "Fans of Metro Station should watch out for my fist.. we tend to meet each other quite often." You've made the impression that you're a dumbass. You want to hit people because they like a band that you don't. Your heaps tough aye. Fair enough if you think it is a bad album and you want to express that, don't get me wrong, I'm cool with that. But why present yourself in that way. You sound like a tool.
I actually heard the song, Shake It, before most people would have as I accidently stumbled across Metro Station's myspace a while back. I thought it was a good song until it was played 24/7 on radios and music channels. I then hated it. They have a new song, Seventeen Forever, which is quite catchy. This led me to their album. All in all it is a fun album for fans of electronica / synthpop. As much as I hate Miley Cyrus / Hannah Montana, this album proves to be good in my standard.

2.5 average
Cute Is What We Aim For Rotation
I was looking forward to this album greatly. I haven't known Cute Is What We Aim For that long. I had just heard their first album and I loved it. It was just a good album.
Although when I heard this, the only thing that crossed my mind was, "what happened"
this is just your average powerpop album and nothing special about it. I must admit, it isn't bad but it isn't really that good either. The songs were a bit more unique on CIWWAF's first release. This is just normal pop punk.
Hoping for a better release in the future.
Disturbed Indestructible
This is Disturbed?s fourth studio album. Their first, The Sickness, was a great success as everyone was new to the genre and it was loved. Their second album, Believe, was more of a hard rock album compared to the nu metal genre of their first release. The sound is still quite the same though. This album was also a great hit. The third album, Ten Thousand Fists, sold a lot as it continued with the same sound of their previous work.
Indestructible is their fourth album but it sounds the exact same as their first. This is a major problem. The thing that gets to me though, is that it still sells by the truckload. I say that Disturbed should make a change or if not, please and I do say please, do not make another album exactly the same as your other four. An average album for an overrated band.

2.0 poor
Foo Fighters Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace
Linkin Park Minutes to Midnight
Linkin Park have abandoned their rap nu metal sound and have come up with an alternative rock album. The only thing is?it?s just not good! It is obvious they just want commercial success and they are getting it. This is by far the worst album that Linkin Park have released (not that their other stuff is good either). This band is way, way, way too overrated.
Stone Sour Come What(ever) May
Slipknot are quite a talented band. They have released a good number of hits. Two of the members are a part of another band called Stone Sour. Lead vocalist of Slipknot, doesn?t yell in this band like how he does in Slipknot. He sings, as this band is rock not metal. Stone Sour are just not good. They are like a Nickelback post-grunge/hard rock band. All the songs on the album don?t satisfy and just bore me. Through The Glass is the acoustic song, which sucks donkey dick. Please just focus on Slipknot as Stone Sour are just not good.

1.5 very poor
Angels and Airwaves We Don't Need to Whisper
We Don?t Need To Whisper. Who on earth would name their debut that? Trust Tom Delonge to be involved with a band that names their debut album this. You do need to whisper because nobody wants to hear you. After the break up of Blink-182, Tom talked his band up so much that when everybody actually got to hear these songs, they all hoped that Travis and Mark weren?t going to complete waste. With very slow building pop punk rock, this album is one to skip.
Korn Take a Look in the Mirror
Korn are an alright band. They are not great. Their first album is probably one of their best as it introduced the genre and everyone went crazy over it. Their many albums over the years have earned them a hell of a lot of fans and also a lot of people that hate them completely. With Korn, you either like them or you don?t. It is as simple as that. When I first listened to this album I was greatly disappointed. It is just very boring. I don?t think there is one good song on there at all. Maybe one. The rest are just boring as dick. This is a Korn album that deserves to be missed.
Simple Plan Still Not Getting Any...
This album is called Still Not Getting Any...
I think what Simple Plan mean is...Still Not Getting Any Balls!
I have listened to this album a couple of times as my friend likes them. What I honestly think is that Simple Plan are the biggest attention seekers out there. They try singing about depression but it sounds shit. One of the songs sings about wanting to jump. All that they do is have a cry and hope somebody cares but the truth is (hate to break it to you fellas) no one really gives a fuck.
Just grow a dick and make good music!
