The ethnic instruments on quite a few of the songs add a really good quality to the music and I don't know why more bands don't follow suit. Overall one of my favourite albums of all timeJeff Buckley GraceWithout doubt, the best album of all time. Each of the songs work brilliantly together as an album or can be enjoyed alone. Jeff's love of ethnic music shines through on songs like dream brother and his vocal range is simply amazing. noone should pass away without having listened to this in its entiretyRadiohead In RainbowsThis album is radiohead's finest in my opinion. The tracks blend together really well especially in the middle section. There aren't many chart friendly songs on here, unlike ok computer but they have so much more feeling. I couldn't give an album containing "All I need" less than a 5, this certainly deserves to be called a classic4.5 superbAmusement Parks On Fire Out Of The AngelesA great album to space out to. The tracks merge together perfectly making it work really well as an album. The extremely distorted but distant sounding guitars and strong melodies a remeniscent of my blood valentine but I feel this album is a more than a step above what said band where trying to achieve with loveless. The Doors The Soft ParadeTom Vek We Have SoundI love this album and the B-sides were amazing too. I haven't really heard anyone that sounds like Tom Vek before and I don't dislike a single song on it. It doesn't quite reach my top five greatest of all time albums but its certainly one I'd recommend. Album number two is going to be stunning when or if it eventually comes out4.0 excellentColdplay Viva la Vida or Death and All His FriendsI heard a bit of this online when it came out and I wasn't too convinced. Violet hill sounded like the coldplay of old but after a flick through the tracks I just thought that they were trying too hard to do something different. I eventually bought the album and gave it another few listens, then I realised the genious behind the whole thing. Each song is wonderfully crafted and break out of the boring pop song mold and despite Chris Martin focussing more on the lower registers of his voice (I felt like some places needed more high notes) It's a really good come back album. Can't wait for their next oneJeff Buckley Sketches for My Sweetheart the DrunkAlthough unfinished, this album holds many gems. Songs such as the sky is a landfill and witches rave are equally as astounding as anything from grace. The reason this wasn't given a higher mark was because it isn't finished and never will be, which is a great shame. 3.0 goodMy Bloody Valentine LovelessMy Bloody Valentine aren't very easy to listen to. I feel like there is something missing here, I like the dreaminess of it all and some of the songs are really well constructed but for some reason I have yet to be able to sit through the whole thing. You can't deny the creativity here though, they basically created the shoegaze genre and this album paved the way for many great albums from other artists
