5.0 classic
Alice in Chains Dirt
Powerful, emotive, masterful. Those 3 words portray this album perfectly. Jerry and Layne managed to get all their personal demons to take the form of true art, of music, and free them in a mindblowing, amazing way. From the heaviness of Them Bones to the awe-inspiring Would?, this album will kick your ass until it falls off, then put it back in place and make it fall off again.
Antonio Vivaldi The Four Seasons
At the Gates Slaughter of the Soul
Black Sabbath Paranoid
Black Sabbath Dehumanizer
Personally, I find this to be their best album. Review shall be done, as I feel it's offensive that this album lacks one.
Blind Guardian Somewhere Far Beyond
Cradle of Filth Midian
Bumping this up to a 5. Satanic Mantra is completely useless, but other than that, every song in the album is excellent. Cthulu Dawn, Death Magick for Adepts, Lord Abortion and Tortured Soul Asylum are completely awesome.
Dark Angel Time Does Not Heal
Dark Tranquillity Fiction
Melodeath with some electronic stuff added which actually worked in Character and works in this too, amazing quality songs (Terminus, Icipher, Misery's Crown, The Mudane and The Magic, all amazing tracks) and powerful growling which you can actually understand. With this release, Dark Tranquillity proves that they don't need constant experimenting to be as good as they are, seeing how this is simply Character part 2, and it's even better than Character.
Dark Tranquillity The Gallery
Death Symbolic
Dissection Storm of the Light's Bane
Pretty much my favorite Black Metal album ever. Where Dead Angels Lie and Night's Blood are epic. Great album this is.
Dream Theater Train of Thought
Dream Theater Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory
Dream Theater Live Scenes From New York
Emperor Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk
Eric Clapton Unplugged
If Tears In Heaven is one of the greatest songs ever (Which is actually true), the version here then is godlike. Every song here is amazing, Sir Eric Clapton remains to be one of the greatest guitar players, IMO.

Friggin classic. Black, Even Flow and Once are completely awesome. Heck, the entire album is awesome.
Pink Floyd The Dark Side of the Moon
Porcupine Tree In Absentia
The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality.

Slayer Seasons in the Abyss
This album takes the newfound (back then) atmosphere and melody of South of Heaven, mixes it with thrashier songs, and makes one awesome mix. Temptation is the only kinda mediocre song here, and it's still good. Reccomended tracks are War Ensemble, Dead Skin Mask, Hallowed Point and the title track.
Slayer South of Heaven
Now THIS is how you make atmospheric music. From the beggining, you know this album will be sinful sounding and evil. To the moment Spill The Blood finishes, you will experience the finest point of Slayer (Well, it is this or SitA). Araya's vocals are better than ever, Lombardo's drumming is better than ever, there's a solo that actually follows the mood of the song, usage of acoustic guitar to make up an evil atmosphere, Kerry and Jeff doing some cool guitar harmonies... Awesome album.
Sodom Agent Orange
Steven Wilson Grace for Drowning
Stratovarius Visions
More greatness in power metal, every song is masterfully executed, unlike other Stratovarius' albums it doesn't get boring after a few listens, and it has one hell of an epic. Visions (The Southern Cross) is easily one of the best songs in this album.
Symphony X V: The New Mythology Suite
Temple of the Dog Temple of the Dog
The Beatles Abbey Road
Therion Lemuria
Who am I trying to lie to? This album is damn awesome. Greatest symphonic metal album ever? Quite possible.

A great album by Stormlord, easily one of the best Symphonic Black Metal albums I've heard to date (Okay, Epic Extreme Metal, as they describe themselves). The vocals fit perfectly, the epic feeling is always there, and the symphonic and heavy parts mix really well.

From the hard-hitting No Reason to the awesome 88, this album just crushes you like a bulldozer out of control. Their heavier sound simply kicks ass, and their softer stuff is also quite great. The instrumentals are great, and Deryck is at his best vocally here. Definitely a worth it album.

so, lastest Cannibal Corpse album is actually worth it. Just like a good bunch of the Corpsegrinder era albums. They keep the wankery to a minimum, rarely ever go over the over the top (No, no error here) with their lyrics, and the drumming isn't only blastbeat speed. They've truly matured with time, now they know how to do stuff well, which they managed already with Kill.

Definitely one of the best albums that Melodic Death Metal has to offer, the variety of vocal styles, the well written riffs and solos and the actually good lyrics (Good lyrics? In metal? Yes, it is possible) make it quite a good album. Best songs of this album are, in my opinion: The Illusionist, Dreaming 24/7, The Kaleidoscopic God and Retalitator, but seriously, just listen to the whole damn thing. Recommended album.

Repetitive riffs, some quite good drumming, some grooves here and there, HEAVY PARTS BRO.... Yeah, there are. Good vocals? Uh-oh... Satyr sounds pathetic in this album, actually. He doesn't use a totally clean voice, but neither does he screech: He is somewhere in the middle. Effective? Sadly, no. He sounds like he's gonna break apart in any moment, and he gets annoying. The album musically is kinda repetitive and slow, can get boring at times. But that doesn't stop it from being enjoyable. The evil feeling throughout is cool, though if you want evilness, there are better than this. This is just a fun black & roll album (Oh, sweet irony).

Decent follow-up to their best album, but the songs lack the edge that make their other albums as good as they are. Alive... Cold... HEY HEY YOU YOU I DON'T LIKE YOUR GIRLFRIENDrThose lines are my ****in' nightmare, they scare me more than a crimson head in REmake or Hell Revealed 2 WAD for Doom 2.rBut partly, my opinion has changed.rThere are some standout songs like I Can Do Better (Whatever you say I like it, I love her attitude while singing it), Everything Back But You (The most Pop-Punk song she's ever done), and Runaway (Extremely catchy, reason I may as well get this to 2.5). The verses to the title track are absolutely awful, yet the chorus is catchy enough to save it from being a trainwreck. But the rest.. well, it's decent, asides from the abomination called "Girlfriend". Why is that song so loved, that is beyond me.
