5.0 classic
Jimi Hendrix The Ultimate Experience
Mumford and Sons Sigh No More
I'm re-rating this album to a 5. I can listen to the album over and over and over and over again. Esp in times where life is pure shit, this album delivers all sortsa hope. AND Marcus's voice... mm. Love it.

Tori Amos Little Earthquakes
Tori Amos Boys for Pele
Just picked up this album (finally) after being recommended it by those who know how much I Love "Little Earthquakes." I've watched various live performances from this album and was impressed (It's Tori, of course I'm going to be impressed, she's incredible--esp live) but didn't know how the actual album would compare. Well, apparently all who recommended me "Boys for Pele" knew what they were talking about, I can't get enough of it. Tori never does cease to amaze me.

I'll be another to say that if you are a fan of "Little Earthquakes" it is safe to assume you will love "Boys for Pele."
Tori Amos To Venus and Back
True Widow As High As The Highest Heavens And From The Center
Wye Oak The Knot
Wye Oak Civilian
I love Wye Oak and I love this album, but opposed to what I thought, I think I like "The Knot" better than this one. "Civilian" is a strong, dream-like, chill album, but I feel as though The Knot has a bit more 'epic-ness' of a feel. r2 days later: I changed my mind. This album is all I listen to lately, it grows on me every time.

Sleepytime Gorilla Museum Of Natural History
Most amazing band! Sleepytime Gorilla Museum produces the kind of music that I think will be (and definitely should be) studied in the future as part of music education. The review didn't mention that member Dan Rathbun makes a variety of hand-made instruments which provides much of their unique sound. Listening to Sleepytime Gorilla Museum is an inspiring experience that leaves me in awe every time. There are, of course, certain songs I like better than others, but even tracks that aren't on the top of my list are cool to piece out and learn from--which has contributed to an acquired liking of certain tracks. So much raw, hauntingly beautiful talent in this music. Phenomenal band!

Carina Round Slow Motion Addict
I was expecting better, she has a couple of great tracks, but the album is too "pop" sounding, gets on my nerves.
Copeland Beneath Medicine Tree
Crossfade Crossfade
There are two songs I love on this album and one song I like alright. Disappointment in all honesty, their single "Cold" is probably the only song I'll continue to listen to. Could've been a better album if they had put more work into it I think. I do, however, think Crossfade will get better over the years, and I have never seen them live so I can't speak there.
Hanne Hukkelberg Rykestraße 68
Dude. Really? Really. I was expecting SO much more after hearing "Break my Body." The album was not good, definitely a let down, though not terrible by any means. Just.. disappointing.
Lisa Loeb Tails
Shaman's Harvest Shine
Thrice The Alchemy Index Vols. I & II

2.0 poor
Lykke Li Youth Novels
I couldn't wait for the album to end. She sounds like a little girl, and has a voice you want to tune out completely due to annoyance. I do not understand the high ratings. She does have a couple of good tracks on this album, but no more than that. Disliked..
Tori Amos Strange Little Girls

1.5 very poor
