5.0 classic
GZA Liquid Swords
The GZA and the RZA work together perfectly. Over cold tracks such as Shadowboxin, 4th Chamber, Liquid Swords, and B.I.B.L.E. the Wu-Tang hot streak of the 90s continued unabated.
Jeru the Damaja The Sun Rises in the East
Jeru's flow has a lazy but menacing confidence about it. He gets at the industry and posers in the hood over the course of this highly creative debut. It helps that he has some of the hottest beats that DJ Premier ever put down with the standouts being the pipe-banging (listen and you'll understand) Come Clean, D. Original, Brooklyn Took It, Ain't the Devil Happy and Da Bichez. Absolutely one of the best hip-hop albums of the 90s.
Nas Illmatic
Public Enemy Fear Of A Black Planet

4.5 superb
Del Tha Funkee Homosapien I Wish My Brother George Was Here

4.0 excellent
Dizzee Rascal Boy In Da Corner
In a time when rappers were increasingly dropping lyrics about bitches, hoes, and chains, Dizzee released something that completely rocked my world. This has some of the most original production and lyricism I've ever heard. The novelty has worn up but this is prime entertainment and even has a few thoughtful tracks.
The Roots Rising Down

3.0 good
