| The EP starts out with an absolutely breathtaking display of emotion on "Blood Bank", easily the standout of the four tracks. The next two are also great, but not quite up to the level of their predecessor. Woods, though, is the most glaring fault. While repeating one line over and over while adding one voice/effect in each time, it became obvious to me that this song isn't worth 4:44 of my time. Besides this dud, Blood Bank is a step in the right direction for Bon Iver's soothing voice, soft melodies, and eloquent imagery. |
