That being said, as the release date of his album creeped closer, i could not escape the talk up of his latest work. After the release of the album, i could not stop running into reviews. Most of them proclaimed it as one of the best albums released in the past year. I decided to give it a listen. As the songs played, i continued to work on my paper due for my english final. When the album ended, I did not notice. That was a sign for me. Jack Johnson's Sleep Through the Static allowed me to do just that. I hardly remember the songs. It has since become my favorite album to put on when i need some background music. It will never steal the show, but it is a nice detail to add in, pleasurable but not too memorable.
