This record is all about the riffs, and let me tell you, these are perhaps the best riffs Sepultura has ever written so far. Even Paulo, who goes unheard on other Sepultura records does his best on creating bass fills and he even does a solo in of the songs. If you're a thrash fan and haven't listened to this yet, you're missing out.4.5 superbBlack Sabbath ParanoidBurzum Det Som Engang VarCannibal Corpse Eaten Back to LifeDavid Wise Donkey Kong Country 2 SoundtrackThe greatest videogame soundtrack for the Super Nintendo.Dead Kennedys Fresh Fruit for Rotting VegetablesDead Kennedys In God We Trust, Inc.Death The Sound of PerseveranceDeath LeprosyDeath Individual Thought PatternsDeath HumanDeftones AdrenalineDeftones Saturday Night WristDream Theater Train of ThoughtDream Theater Images and WordsDream Theater Six Degrees of Inner TurbulenceDream Theater Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a MemoryDream Theater Live at BudokanDream Theater OctavariumDying Fetus Killing on AdrenalineEmerson Lake and Palmer Emerson, Lake & PalmerEyehategod DopesickEyehategod Take as Needed for PainFaith No More Angel DustFear Factory ObsoleteA near classic. All songs here (barring the godawful title track) are perfectly crafted and very representative of the band's sound. Burton's mix between screaming and clean vocals is the obvious stand out here. The only problem with the record is the title track, which is one of the worst Fear Factory tracks ever.Impaled Mondo MedicaleKyuss Welcome to Sky ValleyMastodon Crack the SkyeMegadeth Rust in PeaceMegadeth Countdown to ExtinctionMeshuggah NothingMeshuggah IMetallica Kill 'Em AllMetallica ...And Justice for AllPantera Vulgar Display of PowerPorcupine Tree Stupid DreamQueens of the Stone Age Songs for the DeafQueens of the Stone Age Rated RRadiohead OK ComputerRage Against the Machine Rage Against the MachineRed Hot Chili Peppers Blood Sugar Sex MagikRush Moving PicturesSepultura Chaos A.D.Sepultura Morbid VisionsSix Feet Under Maximum ViolenceSoulfly Dark AgesStatic-X Wisconsin Death TripSystem of a Down System of a DownTool LateralusType O Negative World Coming DownType O Negative Slow, Deep, and HardType O Negative Dead Again4.0 excellentBlack Sabbath Vol. 4Black Sabbath Heaven and HellBlack Sabbath The Dio YearsButthole Surfers Locust Abortion TechnicianCannibal Corpse BloodthirstCannibal Corpse Butchered at BirthCannibal Corpse Tomb of the MutilatedCannibal Corpse VileDavid Wise DK Jamz: Original Donkey Kong Country STDeath Scream Bloody GoreDeep Purple Machine HeadDeftones Around the FurDying Fetus War of AttritionEmmure FelonyExhorder Slaughter in the VaticanFear Factory DemanufactureImpaled Death After LifeKreator Pleasure to KillLamb of God New American GospelMastodon RemissionMastodon Blood MountainMayhem Live in LeipzigMayhem De Mysteriis Dom SathanasMayhem DeathcrushMegadeth Killing Is My Business... and Business Is Good!Meshuggah Catch ThirtythreeMeshuggah obZenMetallica Master of PuppetsMetallica Ride the LightningNirvana In UteroNirvana NevermindObituary Slowly We RotPantera Cowboys from HellPantera The Great Southern TrendkillPrimus Pork SodaQueens of the Stone Age Lullabies to ParalyzeRadiohead Hail to the ThiefRage Against the Machine Evil EmpireRed Hot Chili Peppers What Hits!?Sepultura Dante XXIThe best album from Derrick Green fronted Sepultura era. Most of the songs are straight to business, fast, memorable and quality groove/hardcore anthems. It has some of the ballsiest songs Sepultura has written after Max left, but it's still not thrash, though. All in all: A step in the right direction that the band further developed with their next record, A-Lex.Sepultura RoorbackSepultura AgainstSepultura A-LexThis is the best Sepultura record with Derrick Green, hands down. With this release, the band decided to ditch almost completely the experimental sound of records such as Roots, Against and Nation and focus on the agression they are well known for in the first place. The only downsides to this record is that the concept feels half baked and the recrd feels overlong.Six Feet Under HauntedSix Feet Under WarpathSlayer Reign in BloodSleep DopesmokerThis is just insane. If you're looking for the heaviest riff ever written, look no further. The song does get tiring near the end, but it's still amazing nonetheless.Slipknot IowaSoulfly ProphecySoulfly ConquerStatic-X Cult Of StaticSystem of a Down Steal This Album!System of a Down ToxicitySystem of a Down MezmerizeTool ÆnimaType O Negative October RustType O Negative Bloody Kisses3.5 greatBlack Sabbath Mob Rulesblink-182 Enema Of The StateBurzum BurzumCannibal Corpse The BleedingCannibal Corpse Gallery of SuicideCannibal Corpse The Wretched SpawnDeath Cab for Cutie PlansDeftones DeftonesDream Theater Falling into InfinityEmmure Goodbye To The GallowsFear Factory DigimortalFear Factory Soul of a New MachineKorn Take a Look in the MirrorKorn IssuesKorn Life Is PeachyMegadeth United AbominationsMeshuggah ChaosphereMetallica ReloadPantera Reinventing the SteelRammstein MutterSepultura NationSix Feet Under 13Six Feet Under Bringer of BloodPossibly the funniest album ever with no intention of being funny.Slipknot SlipknotSoulfly PrimitiveSoulfly SoulflySpawn of Possession CabinetTool 10,000 Days3.0 goodDeath Spiritual HealingDream Theater Systematic ChaosEmmure The Respect IssueMastodon LeviathanMotorhead Iron FistSepultura AriseSix Feet Under True CarnageSlipknot Vol. 3: The Subliminal VersesSystem of a Down Hypnotize2.5 averageBlack Flag DamagedType O Negative Life Is Killing MeThe weakest of all Type O Negative's studio releases. While some of the tracks are worthwhile listening to (I Don't Wanna Be Me, IYDKMIGHTKY, Dream Is Dead come to mind), most of the tracks sound really dull and uninspired. This is a huge letdown after the masterpiece that was World Coming Down.2.0 poorBehemoth DemigodConverge Jane DoeDream Theater Black Clouds and Silver LiningsFoo Fighters There Is Nothing Left to LoseIron Maiden The Number of the BeastKorn See You on the Other SideSoulfly 31.5 very poorDark Angel Darkness DescendsDevourment Molesting the DecapitatedBorderline unlistenable. Vocals are alright for the most part, but the songwriting on this record has got to be the one of the most monotone I've come across. It just keeps chugging on and on, almost like on an attempt to drive the listener nuts. However, the song "Choking On Bile" is decent and keeps this from getting the minimal score. Avoid this as if it were a plague.Korn Follow the LeaderSix Feet Under CommandmentPathetic. The first four tracks are decent at best, the rest is boring, uninspired trite. Most of the riffs sound like a variation of Doomday's opening riff. This is most obvious on Bled to Death. Vocals are way too low on the mix, but seeing how Chris Barnes destroyed his voice it's no wonder they mixed them so low in the first place. The rhythm section does nothing special during the entire record. Six Feet Under should concentrate more on songwriting rather than smoking weed.1.0 awfulSepultura RootsIt's really difficult to understand how people have the nerve to call this a "classic". Influenced by the likes of the Deftones and Korn, Sepultura took a downtuned approach to their riffing and simplified their songwriting (even more than they did on Chaos A.D). Add to the mix native Brazilian music influences and you have quite possibly the worst metal record to ever come out from the Brazillian metal scene. There are no redeeming factors whatsoever on listening to this. Riffs are dumb two/three note drivel, lyrics make no sense at all and the vocals sound silly. It doesn't really help that the record is about thirty minutes too long. At least the band recovered from this horror show with their subsequent releases. Stay away at all costs.Six Feet Under Graveyard Classics
