This is maybe because it is different or musically "beautiful" or most probably both. It is full of pop songs and Riberio's soft Depeche Mode like vocals and (or a but if you are metal head), most of the songs are excellently written; using classical rock themes with electronic pop influences. When I first listened this album, I was 15. I remember that friend brought it over and I was thrilled because Moonspell was my favorite band those days. Imagine my fragile mind's disappointment, Wolfheart and Irreligious and this? I picked it up, again though, five years later in college. I guess I needed some time to grow up to appreciate this album. Overall, this album contains some of the finest rock songs you can listen to. It is dark, innovative and well executed. Especially, the sequence starting with "Mute" to the end of album might be one of the finest sequences in an album, ever.
