| It's a really lazy album, personally. Same song format for the last 25 odd years, which would be fine if the music itself was memorable. But so much has been recycled from other, far superior songs. The standout songs for me were Senjutsu, Writing on the Wall & Darkest Hour. That isn't a surprise for me, since I think Adrian Smith and Bruce Dickinson are more concise songwriters than Steve Harris. Everything else on the album is pretty forgettable. It's a pity. I love Iron Maiden, but the last 2 albums haven't really hit the heights of AMOLAD and Final Frontier. |
