Pile Jerk Routine
Unbelievably real, raw, and moving. Rick's songwriting skills are absolutely off the charts on this, no matter whether the tune is soft or heavy he sells every note beautifully.
Pile A Hairshirt of Purpose
Some the tunes on here are top-notch and keep me coming back daily. Texas, hair shirt, and Worms
are my favorites! The different songwriting angle on the longer, slower songs is also quite good
and I was surprised how well they worked. Pile is a unique band and I'm definitely
excited to see them go down whatever path they choose.

Maps and Atlases Beware and Be Grateful
Wow, what a leap. Beware & Be Greateful finds Maps fully realizing their indie pop sound and creating an album that is both poppier, but more dense than Perch Patchwork. Despite the album's straightforward mid-tempo approach, the band has more talent than it knows what to do with and thus, created an album that really pushes the listener to digest it in it's entirety. Every song has it's own very distinct feel, but together it all makes for a very cohesive listen that deserves to be played all at once and multiple times in order to take in it's awesomeness. A true unconventionally beautiful album
Palm (USA-PA) Shadow Expert
Palm (USA-PA) Rock Island
Palm has found a way to push every inch of their experimental approach to new limits while still
creating cohesive and grooveable songs. It's fun, it's strange, it's intriguing, it's rhythmically
perplexing, it's Palm

I have no clue how this band flies under the radar so much, no one knows they exist... Not a bad release at all. If you're a fan of glassjaw, you'll find much to love here.

Might raise this over time. This CD took a few spins to come to fruition for me. At first, I thought it was missing something that was there on the EP, but I now realize it does a good job of bringing in new dynamics while still capturing the great feel of their earlier work. I've had this on repeat for awhile now, good stuff!

Explosions in the Sky All of a Sudden, I Miss Everyone
Followed By Ghosts Still, Here
From Indian Lakes Absent Sounds
Placeholder score, still need to put more spins into this. But so far, we have yet another superb album on our hands from Indian Lakes. The songs themselves are more subdued overall, a small stylistic change. This is because both the guitar parts and vocal parts have become so incredibly lush in literally every song, creating a very serene listening experience. Yes, the songs start to run together a bit but thats only because they are all so solid and follow very strong and similar song structure.
Glassjaw Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
husband&wife Dark Dark Woods
It Prevails Capture & Embrace
Krizz Kaliko Kickin' and Screamin'
This deserves 100 percent more exposure. Kriz creates some infectious and unrelenting party bangers as well as showing a competent ability to slow it down for more personal songs. The whole CD is solid and on par with any output of Tech9. Definitely check this out

Lower Definition The Greatest of All Lost Arts
Interesting guitarwork meets glassjaw inspired vocal work meets breakdowns. They've got a great sound going for them, only problem is that the songs start to sound very similiar as they seem to follow the same structures and you feel like you hear riffs and drum parts more than once.
With improvement this band could be something really great.
