These guys are really humble and you can see it in their music. There is no glam or sugar on the album like so many indie/emo bands around today. It's just so simple, straightforward and good. The dreamy atmosphere that Marsh creates grabs listeners and hooks them without being obviously artificial.

This is a very raw, and fresh new sound for norma jean. A lot of the chaotic mess that they were rockin before has been replaced by better crafted riffs which I liked. I also liked the change-up in vocals, twas pretty creative. Drumming was also a standout for me, a lot of good stuff without whirling double bass.

The vocalist's scream is a clearer in this album, rather than the "cookie monster"-ish grunts in For What It's Worth. The album also had a lot of good heavy parts, filled with touchy lyrics and raw power. I like driving force, the first track, and the spoken interlude.

This live show was excellently put together. The songs are so good live. Spencer screams just as harshly, and Aaron still manages to keep perfect time with the drums while singing in tune.
Vanna The Search Party Never Came
I really enjoyed this album. It's real catchy metalcore with some excellent clean vocals. The drummer keeps my head moving with the rationing of the double bass, and the vocalist has a unique yell/scream which transitions into a real low growl now and again. I highly advise checking out this album. Recording quality aside, it's better than Vanna's full length.

These guys play a super heavy form of deathcore, that is well put together unlike some other bands in this realm of music. The vocalist is very understandable for the most part, and he compliments the quick time sig. changes very well. Furthermore the keyboard adds a great atmospheric feel to the music. Empires Erased has a crazy epic keyboard part. Any hardcore/metal hybrid enthusiast should definitely check out this album. For a bunch of guys all under 22, this is class stuff.

Solid vocals, solid hooks, solid lyrics, not much bad about this album, except lacked some diversity in music. But for an ep, can't expect much.

This album was simple, catchy, and very competent when it came down to lyrics. The folky guitar bits made for a light-hearted atmosphere, and the vocalist Ruth matched the music well with his decent vocal range. Cross the line, Mr. Turner, and Well with my soul are stand out tunes, with great lyrics that feature a sincere adoration for God the father, without being pushy or judgmental.
