It is probably the best place to start for Blasphemy, Gods of War being more extreme and Fallen Angel of Doom having worse production. The lyrics deal with war, blasphemy and the Satanic Ritual Abuse controversy that originated in Ross Bay and was at its most famous at the time this demo was written and released. The music blends grind, death metal and black metal to create what Blasphemy themselves termed as 'war metal' - a genre that would later form a more unique identity in the mid to late 90s. Definitely not my cup of tea, but definitely deserving more than this reviewer gives it. Crysis you are obviously inexperienced in this genre, if this is too raw/harsh for you, fuck knows what you've been listening to... Please stick to genres you actually enjoy in the first place when reviewing... you may enjoy black metal (I doubt this, but you say so, so whatever) but you obviously don't enjoy this strain of it.
