This is one of those albums that takes the listener by surprise and keeps you wanting more. From the opening track, "To Kill a Priest", to the closing track, "Self Storage", I was blown away. "Jack Nicholson" is a tragically depressed, and mind blowing track that gave me chills throughout. In fact, almost every song on this album gave me chills, which is very rare for me nowadays. The Mayan Factor is a severely underrated band, or maybe it is that they are unheard of, but in any case, I am deeply saddened that they are no longer making music. It is rare for me to give an album a 5/5, but to me, 44 is a classic that I will be listening to for as long as I live. |
