5.0 classic
Being as an Ocean Dear G-d
Between the Buried and Me Colors_Live
The cd is good but the live DVD is what makes this thing so worth while.
Haven't seen anything so inspiring in a long time...
Coheed and Cambria Neverender
Imogen Heap Ellipse
This album is like a good cigar dark, robust, flavorful, evolving nicely, with a great finish. One of the best of the year by far, later releases are going to have a hard time holding a candle to this.
Listener Time Is A Machine
Mastodon Crack the Skye
I never liked their other albums the vocals always bugged me... but this time is different the music takes front and center. It's some of the best i've heard in awhile.
Meshuggah obZen
I just started listening to this band again... and i must say it's a much better album that catch 33.
the music sounds a lot more organic and the vocals are a lot more focused than before. good times...
Michael Jackson Thriller
Ne Obliviscaris Portal of I
Nine Inch Nails Ghosts I-IV
I was never a huge fan Of NiN but I loved Reznor for his production and engineering techniques.
This album bridges the gap for me, from what i loved to the unknown.
Upon listen... I am moved and left wondering.
This album is not just music it's a journey.
Periphery Periphery
Scale the Summit Carving Desert Canyons
The things that happen on this album motivate me to pick up my guitar again.
WOW...
Scale the Summit The Collective
Scale the Summit The Migration
TesseracT Tesseract Demo
this is one of the best metal records i've ever heard.... very progressive.
Times of Grace The Hymn of a Broken Man

4.5 superb
Animals As Leaders Animals as Leaders
Becoming The Archetype Dichotomy
This is one their best albums... Jason has a voice that's tough as nails.
metal album of the year contender.
Circa Survive Juturna
Circa Survive On Letting Go
Deadlock Manifesto
Hands (US-ND) Give Me Rest
Imogen Heap Speak For Yourself
Before this album I was under the misconception that any one who used computers and/or synths was not a "real" musician.
This album changed that for me... It's so well composed that i say it may rival any soundtrack. Imogen Heap is a very talented and alluring artist. This album may very well become a classic.
Mos Def The Ecstatic
wow what a return to form....
this will be spinning in my car for awhile.
Shad TSOL
The Appleseed Cast Low Level Owl, Volume I
After listening to this album for a few years it's clear that Appleseed Cast set a standard for post-rock.
Every part is arranged beautifully.... the guitar lines weave in and out forming the most intricate fabric. A backdrop of sorts for the perfect afternoon.
The song "steps and numbers" is one of the stand out tracks on this masterpiece.
Give it a listen....
The Human Abstract Digital Veil
The Sound of Animals Fighting The Ocean and the Sun
wow what an album... a different direction for a different band.
this album is so calm it surprised me.
Trenches The Tide Will Swallow Us Whole
This album was a shocker for me.... the vocals are spectacular.
One of the better post-metal albums i've heard this year.

4.0 excellent
Deadlock Wolves
Deftones Saturday Night Wrist
After first hearing My Own Summer (Shove It) years ago I couldn't let this band go.
They did metal differently than many of the artists they were compared to. This album is no different it's haunting and beautiful... Cherry Waves and Kimdracula standing out from the rest.
Destroy the Runner I, Lucifer
This album is pleasantly surprising... it's everything i hoped for from the first record.
while the first album had maybe one or two good tracks this one hits right on the mark. the instrumentation is slightly more creative than the previous effort.
it's chill metal if thats even possible....
dredg The Pariah, The Parrot, The Delusion
What the heck dredg.... way better than "catch without arms" this album actually rocks.
For All Eternity Beyond the Gates
Iwrestledabearonce It's All Happening
very few metal (whatever) bands these days do anything even semi-original.
these guys however stand out... weird/silly/serious/brutal.... tons of odd breaks and wtf moments.
give it a listen.
Kanye West 808s and Heartbreak
This is easily the best Kanye has put out. His lyrics are at some point mute but production on this disc makes it worth a listen.
I liked his first two albums loved but mostly hated the last one. This one sits right in between the production of the last one and the creativity of the first two.
The Contortionist Intrinsic
The Dear Hunter Act II: The Meaning of, & All Things Regarding Ms. Leading
Not a lot of music like this out there. I think this band has struck a chord with me. It's kinda offbeat, kinda somber, kinda original.
The Mars Volta The Bedlam in Goliath
Finally a breath of fresh air... This album is what Amputechture should have been.
The songs composition are more focused and fluid than on Amputechture. A reason to like this band again....
The Sound of Animals Fighting Tiger and the Duke

3.5 great
Into Eternity The Incurable Tragedy
I think I'm the only person to like this album....
Some great times....
The Chariot Wars and Rumors of Wars
pretty good, better production than the last one but nothing new or even challenging.
The Chronicles of Israfel Starborn, Tome I
This album is Good and worth a listen but not as amazing as it could be.
Sometimes it sounds a little muddy and the drumming is kinda lackluster.
Get a better mix engineer and have the drummer listen to a steady diet of: the mars volta, meshuggah, and every album put out by pat metheny....

3.0 good
Becoming The Archetype I Am
Betraying the Martyrs Breathe In Life
Deadlock Earth.Revolt
Impending Doom The Serpent Servant
good, but not original in any way shape or form.
could use more solos.
Pelican City of Echoes
This album could be better but it's like the drummer is always playing just a tad to slow... kinda a bummer cause i love this band.
The Sound of Animals Fighting Lover, the Lord Has Left Us...

2.5 average
mewithoutYou It's All Crazy! It's All False! It's All A Dream! It's Alright!
The worst of all their albums.... nothing that made them so stellar... this time around it's a waste.
The Human Abstract Midheaven
This album has some amazing musicianship... but that's about it.
none of the songs are very interesting... if anything let play in the background and let the occasional part catch ya other than that don't bother.

2.0 poor
Meshuggah Koloss
I've tried to like this album. It's just terribly boring compared to their previous work.
The Faceless Autotheism

1.5 very poor
Norma Jean The Anti Mother
everything after O god the aftermath has been pure garbage. the technicality of the music has dropped to novice levels. such crap....
Scars on Broadway Scars on Broadway
I'm very disappointed with this album.
Darrons work with soad was killer but the playing, the guitar tone, the song writing, the whole album is a mess writhe with weak songs and poor production.

1.0 awful
Aaron Gillespie Anthem Song
