After some listening those vocal tricks just make me feel sick and tired. Songs lack of personality which is essential thing in popmusic. Better ones sounds like someone brought them from other artists. "Mercy" is the only song where Duffys vocals actually fits with the music, but again, isnt it some kind of modern "Should I say or should I go" ? Too academical, too ordinary and simply not good enough to remember for a longer time. Thought it seems "Rockferry" song has something that you can describe as feeling not just music production, which whole album is. Afterall it is world class record.
