The acoustics of all the instruments, including the vocals, blend seamlessly. The sound is dark yet satisfying and calming. The album ebbs and flows through each track. From the first track "Warflower" all the way to the end of the album with "Focus/Reborn" the listener is left with satisfaction. They truly have a mastery of music. This can be seen on their track "Son Of Sam/Prophecy" where Ray makes nu metal artists like Limp Bizkit wish they had the ability to "spit rhymes" as he tackles on a Rap/Funk approach vocally towards the end of the song. For what it's worth, In Lake' Ch is worth the money. It is definitely an album any music lover will at least enjoy listening to once, if not over and over again.4.0 excellentThirty Seconds to Mars 30 Seconds To MarsVery different form of music than was mainly heard on the Radio in 2002. 30STM's Self tiled album is still their best album to date. A good mix of energy and calm with the songs and there is a good creation of this eerie feeling through the song. One thing this album lacks that I believe would have made it better would have been some more advanced musical techniques. For goodness sakes their drummer is a monster (and I mean that in a John Bonham sort of way) yet we don't hear any Major drumming ability. Hope fully their 3rd album will have a better sound than A Beautiful Lie. 3.5 greatCoheed and Cambria From Fear Through the Eyes of MadnessFoo Fighters One by One
