5.0 classic
John Williams Star Wars OST
Legendary film composer, John Williams is at his best here as he arranges a soundtrack full of majesty, wonder, and everything in between to define a generation of Star Wars fans.
Radiohead OK Computer
Thrice Vheissu
There aren't many bands that have the guts to try and pull off such a drastic change in sound as Thrice have; however, Vheissu is a prime example of a rare occasion in which a band is able to do so with flying colors. Dustin's lyrical writing really is outstanding here; the different Biblical allusions he uses in each song all help to give each song it's own unique feel. All this, along with accompanying vocals and instrumentation help to develop each song even more so into little mini-epics. All in all, while a rather unexpected release, Vheissu is definitely worth more than a few listens.

4.5 superb

Action Action Don't Cut Your Fabric To This Years Fash
Action Action perhaps should have the title of being the "most under appreciated band". DCYFTTYF is definitely a synth-pop modern classic. It's just one of those albums that you can listen to, over and over again no matter what mood you may be in. That being said, it's not for everyone. If you're not a fan of the genre then by all means, don't even bother trying to give this one a listen. If new wave is your thing though, then this one is definitely worth a try, as this will most likely be on repeat for months to come.
Arcade Fire Funeral
Asian Kung-Fu Generation Blue Train
Foo Fighters There Is Nothing Left to Lose
Foo Fighters In Your Honor
While the Foos may get a lot of criticism for often having many standout singles, yet lacking albums, In Your Honor definitely is not just another album to fuel the critics' flames.
The first disc promises to be very heavy and rocking, and indeed it is. Though there are a few songs that seem to be redundant and lacking in lyrical value (the last song), it is very consistent in delivering heavy, yet catchy, riffs and melody's. There are a few songs which really make up for the first disc's blunders, like the epic single, Best of You, and the enjoyable DOA.
The second disc is really a foil to the first disc. While the first disc was heavy and full of: distortion, harsh vocals, and the like, the second disc is calm, melodic, and serene. Dave's vocals really shine here. Although many people may enjoy the first disc, the second disc is really what makes this album memorable, each song has it's own definite embodiment, built upon layers of pure nostalgia, desire, and hope. As Dave stated in an interview, he wanted this album to be their Physical Graffiti, and though people may not remember this album many years down the road, In Your Honor will definitely be one of those diamonds in the rough, all but forgotten by those few who were truly touched and inspired by what it had to offer them.

Muse Absolution
Mutemath Reset
Mutemath Odd Soul
Nujabes Metaphorical Music
Oasis (What's the Story) Morning Glory?
Plastic Tree Chandelier
The follow-up to Cell, while not without it's blunders, is definitely worthy of it's predecessor. While still mainly driven by the melancholic sound of Ryuutarou's voice; generating much heavier sounds on the song "Ghost" and yet maintaining the catchy hooks and melodies that Plastic Tree are known for, Chandelier is definitely worth a listen.
Radiohead Kid A
Radiohead The Bends
Sonic Youth Sonic Nurse
Streetlight Manifesto Everything Goes Numb
I'm not a real ska fan, but Everything Goes Numb is an exception. I could go ahead and write a full review for this but i'll just keep it short. Simply put, Everything Goes Numb is a ska classic, a must get for fans of the genre and music lovers in general.
Taking Back Sunday Where You Want To Be
Tera Melos Untitled
The Cure Wild Mood Swings
The Fall of Troy The Fall of Troy
The Self-Titled debut of The Fall of Troy still remains their best.
A solid release that explores and introduces the sonic fury that would define their sound for albums to come.
Thrice The Illusion of Safety
Thrice Major/Minor

4.0 excellent
...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead Worlds Apart
Acceptance Phantoms
Sure, you could call Acceptance your regular, run-of-the-mill pop-rock band; however, with the strong, yet soothing vocals of lead Jason Vena, coupled with a bunch of simple, yet extremely catchy riffs, it's easy to call Acceptance pop-rock at it's best.

Armor For Sleep What To Do When You Are Dead

Autopilot Off Make A Sound
Bear vs. Shark Terrorhawk
Bloc Party Silent Alarm
Brand New Deja Entendu
Brand New The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me
I can honestly say that i didn't expect something like this to come from Brand New. TDAGARIM shows a lot of growth and maturity in the band since the days of Your Favorite Weapon.
Jesse writes some really heartfelt lyrics this time around, and with songs like "Jesus Christ" it's safe to say that Brand New can be finally be taken seriously. In terms of instrumentation, the change can be likened to that of TBS' Louder Now. Of course, the main diffrence being that while they both reflect more of a rock element in their music, Louder Now is nothing but a let down unlike TDAGARIM. For people that may have been turned off by Brand New's previously pop-punk dominated sound, this is an album to get. All in all another terrific album from Brand New.
Can Tago Mago

Dir En Grey Gauze
Ahh, good old Dir en grey. This is when they actually were able to create some decent music. Sure, while during this period of time in their careers they did have the whole Visual Kei thing going; you can actually listen to GAUZE without feeling like tearing your ears out.

Radiohead Hail to the Thief
Probably their least accessible work to date. While most would without a doubt, give that title to an album like Amnesiac or Kid A, HTTT is much more of an accquired taste. Even with easily enjoyable singles like "There There" and "Go to Sleep", the album is held together by a common theme of brooding darkness; darker than anything else Radiohead has made to date. Love it or hate it, if you aren't already acquainted with Radiohead's songwriting and style then i suggest you start with something easier to swallow, like Ok Computer. Only then will you be able to truly appreciate Hail To The Thief for the masterpiece that it really is.

Panic! at the Disco A Fever You Can't Sweat Out
The debut album by Panic! At the Disco is slightly admirable for the 1st listen or so. However, the feeling that this band is just a lesser Fall Out Boy is hard to shake off, and only grows worse with each listen. All in all, a very disappointing attempt by a band who was actually able to make a few great demos before this.

Taking Back Sunday Louder Now
Ever since TBS signed to Warner, everything that TBS used to be has slowly begun to deteriorate with the release of Louder Now. Apparently, now on a major label, the need to produce more songs that are radio friendly is apparent. This may not be so to the band themselves but very much so to their label. While their sound is rockier and does have a lot of "1st time listen" appeal, with the tradeing off of TBS signature, dual vocal singing, and with the dumbing down of their once-renown, witty lyrics, TBS slowly begins their downward spiral into oblivion.
The Starting Line Based on a True Story
Yellowcard Where We Stand

1.5 very poor
50 Cent Curtis
Unfortunately for 50, Curtis will probably always be best known for losing in sales to the same-day-release, Graduation by Kanye West. Though it certainly lives up to expectations by providing catchy songs like "I Get Money", and "Ayo Technology"; besides having different songs, it's not much different from previous records. While it certainly may have it's strong points here and there, it's easy to overlook Curtis as being little more than "just another" vulgarity filled effort by 50 cent.
A Perfect Circle eMOTIVe
Oh boy, what can i say about this one?
Not much other than the fact that this album is jam packed with nothing but a bunch of poorly executed covers. There is one original song, but it doesn't justify the purchase of this album. I wouldn't recommend even downloading this one unless you're a die-hard APC fan.
Dir En Grey Withering to Death
Kanye West Graduation
The Black Eyed Peas Monkey Business
The Blood Brothers March On Electric Children

1.0 awful
Dir En Grey The Marrow of a Bone
The worst album yet by them. I'm not usually one to criticize metal, but this just plain sucks.
Karate High School Arcade Rock
Though it seems like it's meant to be gimmicky, Arcade Rock simply is a heaping pile of crap. A complete lack of originality, creativity, and inspiration leads the listener to wonder, "who's fucking great idea was it to sign these guys?"
Katy Perry One of the Boys
Metallica St. Anger
Metalica ran their course out years ago. They need to realize that they suck now and that they should stop writing music. Please, for the sake of our ears >_
Soulja Boy Souljaboytellem.com
A horridly weak attempt even for it's genre. Years from now, if anyone at all still remembers Soulja Boy, it would be for his dance.
