Sell Me Out was also a great song, although slower, and The Leaving Song is very catchy. The problem is, the rest of the songs were forgettable, if not downright bad (Flatlined). I'd give this a 4.5 because some of the heavier tracks are that good, especially Cruel World.Deicide The Stench of RedemptionFirst off. I cannot stand American death metal. It all sounds the same, has repetitive riffing, has boring vocals, and the soloing sounds fantastic but isn't as good as thrash metal's mediocre soloing. But this CD changed all that. The solos are top of the line. Glen Benton's vocals are great to scream along with, there are a few great screams here and there (not overdone), the riffing doesn't get boring that quick, the songs sound different, and it still has the tear-your-soul-out intensity that got me to try to get into death metal in the first place. Fantastic CD, one of the top 3 of the year, and Walk with the Devil in the Dreams you Behold gets my vote for 2006 Song of the Year.Immortal Souls WintereichNightwish Dark Passion PlayStatic-X Shadow Zone4.0 excellentBullet for My Valentine Scream Aim FireHell Within Shadows of VanityIn Flames Soundtrack to Your EscapeSilverstein Arrivals and DeparturesThis is easily their best album yet, as it kinda combined the melodies of When Broken with the loudness of Discovering. It had less filler, and the overall sound quality was much improved. The only bad things are the song True Romance and their knack of rereleasing their albums with bonus tracks.3.5 greatThe Human Abstract Nocturne2.0 poorAiden Our Gangs Dark OathAvenged Sevenfold Avenged SevenfoldDead To Fall Are You Serious?Shinedown The Sound of MadnessAfter Devour smashed through everyone's radio speakers, I thought that The Sound of Madness was the album that would restore rock music back to listenability, straying away from all the Hinders and Nickelbacks and newer releases from Papa Roach, Linkin Park, and Avenged Sevenfold. Turns out, the album mostly sounds like Hinder or Nickelback, but it's hard to see it coming with Devour, so it fails on both accounts. What a shame, indeed. Can't wait for the next Disturbed album, they are rock music's only hope now.1.5 very poorThe Showdown Temptation Come My Way1.0 awfulOpeth Ghost ReveriesThrice The Alchemy Index Vols.
