4.5 superb
Agalloch Pale Folklore
Behemoth The Apostasy
Cephalotripsy Uterovaginal Insertion of Extirpated Anomalies
cephalotripsy are one of the bigger up and coming bands in the death metal scene(brutal death metal scene that is) as of right now. They play slam, plain and simple. Their riffs are very simplistic but stil terrific. Even though they aren't doing anything new, they make it seem like they are the pioneers of this sound! I recommened this album to anyone that enjoys devourment, abominable putridity, etc.
Disfigured Blistering of the Mouth
Dying Fetus Reign Supreme
I absolutely love the fact that it seems Gallagher and the boys have reverted back to glory days of Fetus, while still infusing it with hints of technicality that is seemingly so popular in the scene right now.
Explosions in the Sky All of a Sudden, I Miss Everyone
Frightmare Bringing Back The Bloodshed
Insidious Decrepancy The Inerrancy Of Profanation
Nocturnus The Key
William Fitzsimmons The Sparrow and the Crow
Wintersun Wintersun
Wolves in the Throne Room Diadem of 12 Stars

4.0 excellent
Atrocious Abnormality Echoes of the Rotting
Beloved Failure On
Cannibal Corpse Butchered At Birth
Cannibal Corpse The Wretched Spawn
Champion Promises Kept
Decaying Purity The Existence of Infinite Agony
You can tell Decaying Purity have matured as musicians on this, their sophomore effort. Improved songwriting, originality(yeah, I said it), and extremely better song structures. This is one of my Top 10 Brutal Death albums of 2011, I recommended giving it a listen if you fancy this genre.
Defeated Sanity Psalms of the Moribund
Devourment Molesting the Decapitated
Disgorge She Lay Gutted
Embryonic Devourment Fear of Reality Exceeds Fantasy
Frightmare Midnight Murder Mania
Geto Boys Uncut Dope
Gorgasm Masticate to Dominate
Gorgasm have up'd the ante on "Masticate To Dominate" their thrid album, the music is much more technical comparing it to their past works, and much more brutal in my opinion. But why wouldn't it be brutal with song titles such as "Lacerated Masturbation" and "Stitched Oral Asphyxia". This is one of my favorite release from Unique Leader records, and that is saying alot considering UL have release so many great albums over the years. So i urge you to buy this album, if you can;t find it at your local record store, than buy it online, it is worth it!!!!
Gorilla Biscuits Gorilla Biscuits

Make Do and Mend End Measured Mile

Mayday Parade A Lesson In Romantics
Mogwai Young Team
Municipal Waste Hazardous Mutation
When i bought this record, I was expecting a modern day crossover classic, considering I have been listening to this band since their split with Crucial Unnit, and have basically listened to them progress into much better musicians. All I have to say is I was defenitely not let down. From The start of "Deathripper" to the very last note of "Bangover" I was in thrash heavan. Even though it has it's flaws, such as too many of the songs sounding the same, but hey it's thrash you almost expect that! This album is packed with wonderful songs, but the several that stand out are "Deathripper", "Unleash The Bastards", "Abusement Park"(My personal favorite), "Mind Eraser", and "The Thrashin' Of The Christ." I believe that every song on this album is solid but those were jsut the ones that stuck out to me. Overall what you get here is very fast snare, cymbal happy drumming, blistering fast gutiars with some very catchy leads at times and very few guitar solos, aggresive vocals, and bass that follows the guitars lead. All in all this is very well put together thrash album that I would recommend to any thrash/punk fan!!!
Odious Mortem Cryptic Implosion
P.O.S Never Better
Severed Savior Brutality is Law
Spawn of Possession Cabinet
Spawn of Possession Noctambulant
The Tower And The Fool How Long
Turnover Turnover
I've listened to this ep at least once a week since I purchased it. Extremely catchy pop punk with lyrics that I can relate with. Their half of the split with Citizen is just as good, if not better then this batch of songs!
Vile (USA-CA) Stench of the Deceased
Viral Load Brutalized Beyond Belief
William Fitzsimmons Until When We Are Ghosts
William Fitzsimmons Goodnight
With the Punches Seams and Stitches
Wormed Planisphaerium

3.5 great

Blaspherian Infernal Warriors of Death
Bloodsoaked Brutally Butchered
Bloodsoaked Sadistic Deeds...Grotesque Memories
Cannibal Corpse Vile
Cephalotripsy Promo 2007
These are two newer songs from cephalotripsy, however, their new album is going to be technical death metal. Only one of the songs off this is going to be on the upcoming album. I will tell you all this, I expect their new album to be terrific, I got the chance to hear them play one of the new tracks when they were on the Southwest Massacre tour, they have a very bright future!!!!

Make Do and Mend Everything You Ever Loved
Malodorous Amarathine Redolence
Necrophagist Epitaph
Putrefy Vomiting Putrid Blashphemy Split
Putrid Pile Collection Of Butchery
Putrid Pile play old school inspired death metal with a touch of new age DM, such as the weak pig squels in the chorus of "Severed Head Memento", but they are weak because he didn;t use a pitch shifter. But back to the music, this a all around great death metal album, it has everything a brutal death metal fan needs gory lyrics, wonderfuly horrific cover art, riffs that will shred you into tiny little peices, guttural vocals that seem to come straight from the bowels. so if you enjoy brutal death metal than this album has your name all over it!!!!
Stickup Kid The Sincerest Form Of Flattery
Stickup Kid Nothing About Me

3.0 good
Benighted Identisick
Bowels Out Enlightenment Through Dismemberment
Carnifex The Diseased and Poisoned
Close Your Eyes We Will Overcome
Decrepit Birth ...And Time Begins
Deeds of Flesh Crown of Souls
Deeds Of Flesh are one of the major influences on most Death Metal acts of today. Their riffs are memorable, hooky, and heavy as hell. The song that was stuck in my head for days was "This Macabre Fetish" is riffs are just killer, vocals sound like the leadman is spewing his guts out, the drums are relentless, and the bass really can;t be heard. That describes this entire album, not the best work, but defenitely not their worst!! Check this out if you are a die hard death metal fan, or a big Deeds of flesh fan!
Deeds of Flesh Reduced to Ashes
Devourment Butcher The Weak
Devourment 1.3.8.
Disgorge Consume the Forsaken
Ghoul Maniaxe
Gutted Out Amongst The Rotted
Human Excoriation Virulent Infestation
Life in Your Way Waking Giants
Lust of Decay Kingdom of Corpses
Malodorous Augury of the Aborted
A step up in basically every aspect from "Amarthine Redolence." Nothing groundbreaking on this release, but it's extremely well played death metal. Maybe I'm just biased because I happen to be friends with a couple of guys in the band...oh wel ;)
Putrefy Putrefy
Severe Torture Fall Of The Despised
Severed Savior Forced to Bleed
Silent Civilian Rebirth of the Temple
Virulency Unbearable Martyrdom Landscapes
Waking The Cadaver Perverse Recollections Of A Necromangler

All Shall Perish The Price of Existence
I had heard alot of good things about these guys, so when i saw "The Price Of Existence" at the record store I always go to I couldn't help but get it. Expecting somethingd new and excitring I throw it in myCd player, and sat back waiting to get blown away. Well, what I got was a boring listening experience brought on by another mediocre "More Technical Than thou" Deathcore album. If you want to hear GREAT Deathcore, listen to Dying Fetus. If this album is on sale though i would say pick it up, you might enjoy it

Guttural Engorgement The Slow Decay of Infested Flesh
I was really into this album as a teenager, then I realized what good music was. Ah, how easily we fall into the trap of listening to something to not be part of a trend, and then end up in one anyways. Teenagers rule...
It Dies Today The Caitiff Choir
Kataklysm In the Arms of Devastation
Here we go, yet another mid paced death metal album. Now don't get me wrong, Kataklysm have made a career out of playing riffs that sound a awful lot alike. With this release you get alot more of the same, the main riff in Crippled and Broken sounds a wole lot like the main riff in "In Shadows And Dust". I would recommneded is to a die hard Katalysm fan
Kraanium Post Mortal Coital Fixation
This album is definitely a step up from their horrific sophomore effort, but still lacks any real standout tracks. In all actuality it doesn't have any memorable riffs either, just another slam release in a scene overflowing mediocrity.

Job For A Cowboy Doom
I'm very harsh when it comes to what is considered Death metal. I enjoy my fair share of new Death Metal, but this is just control crap, in my opinion, the guitars are so simplistic, and all the BR00000TAL kids out there will be kickin and punching the air in their bedrooms to this EP for a long time, thanks to all the breakdowns, that are uncreative, and have been done plenty times before.Just leave me with real death metal, and you kidoos can have your generic style, just come talk to me when you figure out what musicianship is.
