Black Label Society Hangover Music Vol.6
This album is fantastic. Zakk reinvents himself, venturing into musical worlds very familiar to him but not to many of his fans. His public image is that of a "berserk viking". He is known for his thrash and metal. This album is entirely different. The first impression is that the album is very relaxed and laid back, but when you listen to it more intently the sheer emotion Zakk puts into his piano and guitar work, and especially his vocals is outstanding. His soulful performances reach much bigger heights than his distortion ever will.

The two outstanding tracks on this album are:

Queen Of Sorrow = Brilliant, vocally wise. The contrast Zakk creates between his guiat tones and his voice is superb.

A Whiter Shade Of Pale = Zakk's all time greatest piano and vocal performance. I think this song is a cover of some 80's pop hit.

Those two songs are the jewels of the album, but that doesn't compromise the rest of the album. In my opinion every second of this album is gold.
