Absolutely slaughters every retro rock album out there. Album smokes, check out the title track, Heartbreak's a Blessing, Lovercall, etc. but for the riffage, not for serious poetic lyrics.

The EP title should be 'Litany' from 2004. This is by far the best Fucked Up EP, and one of their earliest too.

Album of the year material. If this is any indication of the rest of their discography, then I can only say I'm stoked. Although the 90's were the time of post-rock proper, bands of the 00's are very much keeping the flame alive. What I like about this is that it's not so meandering as other post-rock albums. How could an album this structured and concise be monotonous and boring? Half a star up just for the first song alone: all I can say is, listen to this track at least! Also, highly recommended are tracks 4, 7, and 8.

Angel Dust Border Of Reality
I don't like this kind of Uriah Heep and Deep Purple-gone-metal formula they make this album around. It's very boring, despite being uptempo. Strange. And the keyboards are lame. But, it's well put together, so I give it a 3.

DragonForce Sonic Firestorm
I used to find this album very entertaining, and, if you ignore factors like diversity, originality, and variety, then it can be very entertaining. Unfortunately, several of the main solos are almost exactly the same. Who wants to hear an album where have the songs are just re-writes (no matter how catchy they are) of superior songs anyway? "My Spirit Will Go On," "Above The Winter Moonlight," and "Soldiers of the Wasteland" are amazing songs but I think that Sonic Firestorm could've been a lot better if they'd taken the time to write more diverse songs to go along with them. After all, it was released just a year after Valley of the Damned.
