1.5 very poor
Creed Weathered
Nickelback Silver Side Up
I ONLY gave this a 1.5 because I don't mind 'Too Bad' and I briefly liked "How You Remind Me". I'm being generous with this rating...
The Strokes Room on Fire
I was very disappointed with this album considering how much I love "Is This It?". I think my musical tastes changed a bit between these two albums, but this felt so lazy. Reptilia is the one brilliant exception.
Weezer Make Believe

1.0 awful
Hinder Extreme Behavior
That "Lips of an Angel" was a massive hit is very disappointing. I'm glad I'm not forced to listen to Top 40 radio. What about the rest of the album? A friend of mine was playing it recently...and I don't remember a single thing. For a music lover who likes to find the good in most bands, that's as condemning an analysis as I can give...
Nickelback The Long Road
More Nickel-dung. Unfortunately, I'm allowed to properly review this album since all my co-workers and local radio stations were in love with this album.
My big problem with Nickelback is three-fold. First, the music is humorless and plodding. Not terrible in small doses, but EVERY song on EVERY album is pathetic. Secondly, I've never sensed any convincing sincerity in these guys. This makes generic ballads like Someday all the more horrible and maddening.
Third, Chad Kroger is the creepiest (and most constipated) singer in rock. This makes Figured You Out the creepiest song of this decade. Ladies, would want this guy "wooing" you with those lyrics?
Long story short -- Nickelback = All that is wrong in rock
Nickelback All the Right Reasons
It's music like this that makes appreciate bands like Muse, Beatsteaks, and QOTSA even more...so thank you Nickelback for that...
