| So... this was at first a 5 for me (Nightwish fanboy, what can I say), then a 4.5, then a 4, and now it's a 4.5 again. Some tracks on this are pure classic, while some can get very annoying at times (guess I'm still not used to Anette, her vocals can get on your nerves sometimes). The band is great as usual, the symphonies are fabulous, and you gotta love the Celtic influences. The best tunes are The Poet and the Pendulum, and The Islander(check the video it's pretty cool). |

| A suprisingly excellent album. The band has improved very much from The Silent Force. The symphonies are lowered, everything sounds much better, with Sharon's superb performance on all songs. There is no bad song on this one, I recommend you The Howling , The Cross, Hand of Sorrow, Our Solemn Hour. |
