I've never heard a full Hoobastank album but did appreciate some of their ealier singles that had good guitar riffs and catchy hooks such "Crawling in the Dark" and "Same Direction". But the newest album seems to be void of these and has some forced and out of place hooks. The album seems too soft and unmotivated. Then I was able to accept the change. When I first heard it it scored a 1. After hearing it a few times and weeding out the garbage it's 1.5. So even after adjusting to the new sound and giving it a chance I thought the album was mediocre or worse. Maybe the change was neccessary and the next album will nail the sound but feel free to skip out on this album.Swans The Seer
