I believe it doesn't sound sloppy at all. The guitar playing seems tighter, the bass merges well with the guitar, and Andrew's drumming is on target as always. I love Thom's falsetto voice, and his normal singing has really improved. Both Thom and Tim's screams have also took a step up, and the song-writing is great. There are so many different styles at work here.
