And MoreThe new RBF compilation of "Greatest Hits" is nothing more than a cheap attempt by the record company who screwed RBF over to cash in on the (somewhat) renewed market interest in ska and other alternative music types. Reel Big Fish recently gave a press release in which founder Aaron Barett encourages people to not buy this CD. In short, the record company who released this still holds rights to a lot of older RBF songs (such as those apperaing on "Sellout" and "Turn Off The Radio") and remixed/rereleased them in an attempt to cash in. Unfortunatley the way they did this was all wrong. The remastered horn parts all sound off by at least a flat 7th of what they should be, and the vocal/string mix is not only unstable but at some points even makes the quality sound lower. Even worse, the Greatest Hits compilation in NO way helps out RBF as they do not see any of the money made off of it. Id suggest buying the "Our Live Album is Better than Your Live Album" CD/DVD set for a real representation of RBF at thier best, its a better deal, better quality, helps out the band also includes a high quality LIVE DVD of RBF.
