I hope so because i have found out that people who have just gotten into Children of Bodom will love this album, while true bodom fans will be very disapointed im sorry to say. Hmmm. where to begin how about when I first cranked the album in my stereo I almost gagged on my morning cofee. No kidding. I first noticed the album really lacked the "structure" of the older COB albums. The riffs have gotton a lot more generic and the lyrics? (oh my god you're so fine?) Common Alexi what are you thinking. From this album I can clearly see the band decided to go in a different aproach to their music. The vocals are toned down alot and sometimes you can actually hear what hes saying! Now im noy sayin its all bad; at least they still kept the solos thank god. Henkka the bass guitarist shines on the album especially on "Next In Line". And the keyboards are still holding strong. I dont have a problem with change but as long as its for the better. As a long time COB fan I was worried when the album was released about the absence of the previous guitarist Alexander Kuoppala from the band, but I'm happy to say that they found an exellent replacement in Roope Latvala. But have COB become lazy? I dont think so but for next album expect an AYDY 2. Now when I compare this album that got me into Bodom Hatebreeder I would give 1.5 at most but if I listen to it with my HCDR ear I'll give it a 3.5. So I'm generous and giving it a 2.5. The long time fans prepare for a disapointment but the newbies will love it.
