| I really enjoy incubus (no pun intended) and by far my favorite is there earlier stuff (S.C.I.E.N.C.E.) I really respected there courage to grow and evolve as musicians. However, i feel Light Grenades falls just short of the incubus i like. The lyrics are mediocre and often too cheesey (emo comes to mind too). It just seems to me that they lost a little bit of their edge. Seems all the songs are (although not directly) about a girl, and frankly singing about a girl is old unless its got edge to it. Although i just got the CD yesterday and probably didnt give it a fair shot yet, what i did hear was unimpressive. |
