5.0 classic
Airto Moreira Homeless
Airto is the best living percussionist today. Brazilian jazz music that takes you into the Amazon! If you want music that takes your mind on a journey, then check out Airto's albums.
Johnny Katchoolik The Seattle Demo Sessions Vol. I
Alternative rock with soul! Awesome lyrics and hot guitar licks on the Ovation. This album is a collection of the more mainstream indie rock tunes from a musician who usually delivers more free-style & jazz fusion tunes. Overall, a very catchy album.
Johnny Katchoolik Wings of the Mind
This all-instrumental album has a little bit of everything for everyone. It has everything from quirky, fretless bass trips to relaxing, contemplative guitar solos. It's refreshing and imaginative. It's unlike everything else out there.
Miles Davis Kind of Blue
Miles Davis Bitches Brew
Jazz as we know it today would not be the same without Miles, and this album is a great example of his genius. Jazz is about being free, taking risks, and being spontaneous, and this album is all that and more.

4.5 superb
Jaco Pastorius Jaco Pastorius
Steve Vai Real Illusions: Reflections
This is probably one of Vai's more mainstream albums. His use of guitar distortions is mind-blowing. Not a big fan of his vocals, but his guitar playing is always hot, energy-drive, and worth cranking it all the way up!
