Pink Floyd The Dark Side Of The Moon
Red Hot Chili Peppers Blood Sugar Sex Magik
Refused The Shape Of Punk To Come
The Black Keys Rubber Factory

This is the perfect pop album. It appeals to any mood at any time. The vocal harmonies and orchestrated parts are so tight and each song is so complex yet so simple. They lyrics are great and the singer's voice is amazing.
Wu-Tang Clan Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)

4.5 superb
A Tribe Called Quest Midnight Marauders
Beastie Boys Licensed To Ill
This album is a classic because of one thing: the Roland TR-808. The beats are all so simple and so catchy, and the backwards drums on "Paul Revere" are awesome.

Danger Mouse The Grey Album
Dead Kennedys Plastic Surgery Disasters

Fear Before The Always Open Mouth
Based solely on good reviews, I bought The Always Open Mouth. And I was not disappointed. I had never heard FBTMOF, but I did know that they had the coolest band name ever. This album is absolutely terrifying in places, mellow in others, and just plain weird all over the place. An epic in all senses of the word. And if you put the album on repeat, the ending and the beginning flow together really well, which pretty much blows my mind.

Rx Bandits ...And the Battle Begun
Innovation has come to a little bit of a standstill in modern music as of late. But, out of the masses of carbon-copies out there, a band has released an absolutely stunning album. I wish I had found out about Rx Bandits years ago. Something about their sound, the funky-fresh reggae-punk-emo-ska vibe that just totally clicks with me. Not a single bad track on this album. The opening accapella jam just totally gives the album this really progressive feeling right from the get go. And these guys are tight. Most of the rhythm section was recorded live, which is totally incredible sounding on the record. Buy this now, and you won't be disappointed.

Underoath Define The Great Line
One of my favorite bands of all time is Refused, who were far from a Christian screamo band. But, when I put this CD in my player for the first time, and "In Regards To Myself" exploded on, I caught a glimpse of those amazing swedes. This is truly a great modern hardcore album and has set a new standard in the genre.
Wolfmother Wolfmother
Where did these guys come from? It's like Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath mated and had an incredibly sexy Australian child with a passion for being awesome! Which is the coolest thing ever.

Hardcore punk? in 2006? NO! not possible. But it is. These guys rock the f**kin' paint off the walls, then move to the next room. The intro is so creepy, but perfect for kicking off the album.
The Doors L.A. Woman
The Dresden Dolls Yes, Virginia...
The Libertines The Libertines
The Raconteurs Broken Boy Soldiers
Talk about supergroup. I was getting a little tired of the new White Stripes direction, with all the non-blues stuff. But this was such a breath of fresh air for Jack White. I think this is some stuff he had been wanting to write and just needed a different medium than the duo to pull it off. The album rocks from beginning to end. No bad songs on it.

If hip-hop is dead, then we might just need to make a new genre for this album. Solid from beginning to end. And the inclusion of "Hope" as an instrumental really seals the deal. Hip-hop is dead, and it is time for a new beginning.
