This is one of my favorite Opeth albums. It's full of some very dynamic songs and man does it rock. It has been deemed to contain one of Opeth's heaviest songs "deliverance". Great album and a great band. My personal favs on the album - A fair judgement, master's apprentices, and by the pain I see in others.
Opeth Damnation
Say Anything ...Is a Real Boy
I fell in love with these guys with the first listen to this album. It's full of everything I love lyrically about music: truth and irony. They say it like it is and they make it sound good no matter how ugly the things they are saying. Great album and I would recommend everyone who likes this album to check out all there other stuff. There's 2 more albums released and a live album, but they are fairly rare to come by. Definately worth searching for!

So, BEFORE they sold out and all the little girls fell in love with them...they were pretty sweet. This used to be one of my fav albums, and still is a good listen. I just get upset that they sold out whenever I listen to them. That and the vocalist's vocal chords are not the same. City is nothing vocally like this, but they've always been pretty solid on the guitars. Appreciate the album once in a while, but I used to be a favorite of mine.

There's no need to be "bothered" by religious lyrics. These guys rock out for JC even better, that secular bands sing about meaninglessness. These guys are awesome. If you love any sort of cheesy, you'll love this as well. 'Hero' used to be my fav album by them, but this one steps it up. Nicely done.

Sweet album man. Heavy to the max. Awesome unique clean vocals. Christian. Awesome album about the state of this world. Definately would recommend it to anyone who loves a little chuggy chuggy in their music, cuz they are proficient. I recommend this to any Christian metal-er.
Sleepytime Gorilla Museum Grand Opening and Closing
After coming to my musical senses, I realized this album is sweet. These guys know what they're doing. I gave it a lower rating the first time I heard it a few years ago, but I gave it a listen again this year and it's just awesome. Not their best album, in my opinion, but a very innovative and interesting piece of work.
Slipknot 9.0: Live
Live albums can do one of two things; enhance the listening experience with atmosphere, or ruin the listening experience with a lack of engaging atmosphere. This album enhances the listening experience. While playing different songs, corey taylor commands the crowd to do different things during the songs, and if you've ever seen the amount of people at slipknot concerts, it's pretty incredible to imagine the crowds as you listen to this album. Admittedly taylor's voice is rather off, probubly because he's been doing this for a while now and rumor is that Vol. 3 is their last release. ANYWAYS, his screams are not as powerful, so that's a downfall. All and all it's a good listen, but only if you're a slipknot fan and have heard their studio recordings beforehand. Do not make this your first slipknot listen. It will not do justice to how corey taylor really sounds.

This album is not revolutionary, is not wonderful, and is not awe inspiring. Big deal. It's something to rock out to. There's not reason someone cannot appreciate it at all. It's been a mainstream success, yes, but that does not discount it's catchy-ness. Not all music is a revolution. Deal with it. I laugh at the fanboys and despise the haters mostly because their arguments are dull and uninspiring. I would recommend not to review albums if you're going to make fun of it. It's not constructive and disheartening. Unless of course the album is worthy which I believe this is not. It is just another metalcore album...but I'll tell you what...some times, if I'm in the mood, I just want to listen to some metalcore and this does the job.

not a huge fan of punk. For some reason though, I occasionally listen to these guys, flogging molly, against me, and others. I've yet to find a real appreciation for the stuff. For the time being I'm just trying to figure out what's so great about it. I like some stuff but for the most part I don't like it. I picked up the singles album because I figured it'd be the best of the best, but like i said, I'm still getting that appreciation for punk rock.

I used to actually like this album. But then I just stopped listening to it and I really don't miss it. I guess everybody went through a fall-out boy and panic at the disco phase, but I'm done. This album is not good, nor is the band. In my opinion, of course.
